I couldn't find anything on the wiki. But what determines the value of drafting armies from your territories when the icon comes up. It seems to be random. Does the army value accumulate over time? Just trying to see if there is strategy outside of coming back to check every 5-6 min or so

I wanted to bump this one. I have a feeling that the longer we leave them, the more armies we get but I'm not positive

Draft size increase with:

- Time
- Captures
- Army income

So in general ... wait longer = bigger drafts, but they'll never be gigantic.

So increase your army income (upgrade army camps) & capture a lot of territories in between drafts. The more armies you kill when capturing, the bigger your drafts will be up to a max, and it'll persist for a number of drafts thereafter.

Whats gigantic? after inspire mercs I have gotten several 84 million drafts in a row. there seems to be a certain amount you can get so even after I slow down and have used all the armies I will get very large drafts. but then now I am at the end stage of a game where I have had all army camps maxed for awhile and even first draft of the night when I have 3-400 armies saved is 10 mil ish. If I use all the troops I can get the same then it goes to 5-8 mil and stays steady. Last game I had exact same drafts for days straight and then it went down as if I had hit the max amount and was only getting a minimum draft then.

@RecMart, "gigantic" depends on how much you capture. On Scandinavia, after inspiring mercs x2 and getting ~10B armies and using joint strike while taking dozens of caches in succession and running wild to cap about 15-20B across about 50 territories, I was getting >900M per draft for a number of consecutive drafts even after my capture spree ended.

But 900M begot 800M begot ... 500M begot ... all the way down to 3M over time. And when I'd capture a 500M-800M territory again, it'd jump up to 30M-50M and work its way down again.

Total armies from drafting used to be max. 20% of total armies earned. So if you haven't drafted in a while or if you collect a lot of caches at once or inspire many mercenaries drafting will"catch up" with that target percentage. In my current game that percentage seems to have dropped to ~17% though, not sure if there was a change.

Thanks everyone for the extra info. I feel like a wiki page needs to be made for this part because it changes some strategy as to when you draft armies. The rest of the stuff in Idle seems very data driven with tables and formulas so I expected that when it came to the draft portion I would see the same.

I was under the assumption that it was better to make sure to draft as soon as possible for maximum gains.
