Sorry to add a thread. Searched for quite awhile and could not find an answer.

When I create a multiplayer game, how do I set the boot time? Do I have to pay in order to set the boot time? I've checked all tabs when I create a game, but see nothing about boot time.

Please help, my friends and I are getting tired of short boot times that cause messages to come up every 5 minutes.

Its the last step, when you create, you select Real Time or Multi-day.

For Real Time, you select the Direct and Auto Boots

For Multi-Day, you select the Direct, Vote and Auto.


There's some defaults in the pull down, or you can go to custom.

after teams, it is the last thing you do, where you name your games

copy and paste that in your adrress bar as an example template

1. you will press next and it bring you to your invite list the map is a strategic 1v1 template select any 1 player

2. your are brought to the page which allows you to name your game add a host message choose weather the game will be real time or multi day

3.select either multi day or real time, once youve done this the option will be given to you to set a boot time


p.s. hedja i was following along the steps myself to make sure i didnt miss anything so now we get to play a game yay!

Thanks for all the help. This site deserves the memberships for sure. I talked many of my friends (all newbies) into playing. This could be a train wreck, but they all play German boardgames. Some of us did a little test with 5 players on a Risk map. We will be doing 6 teams of 2, and using the Battle for Middle Earth as our map. I will be leaving most options default and am considering using fortifications for starting distributions.

Let me know if this is a horrible idea.
