They changed the name?

Fizzer renamed WZ to WZ Classic to make it have a similar name to WZ Idle.
Deep down we always know its just WL, no matter what Fizzer calls it.

I'm newish but not that new but legendary so am one of the few greats that call it warzone.

i demand that the veterans come out of retirement!

To paraphrase Fizzer:

Warzone is the brand that encompasses both games [(Idle and Classic)], Warzone Classic is the game [formerly known as WarLight].

I'm not comfortable with the name change. i like the old fashioned "Warzone"

Joey Warzone isn't old-fashioned. Just slightly older fashioned than Warzone Classic.

And you're not a great/veteran for calling it Warzone, sorry to pop your bubble.

Yeah, it takes a lot of time to gain respect from more veteran players such as me and knyte.

It just doesn't happen instantly. New players need to prove their worth, in our eyes.
