I can understand someone not wanting to do a public challenge, but posting game links to show superiority doesn't really support a "disinterested" stance.

So, Nauz is being a miserable, envious arse to a player who actually achieved something and is trying to belittle their accomplishment via kindergarten-level arguments because of his own insecurities.

What an absolute shocker.

Observations:

* Rak has gone awful political lately, now taking a dive into personal affairs in the warzone community is a great career move for him.

* Nauz is called out publically, if he walks away he'll be a laughing stock of the game. He's currently on a ladder run with 5 games at a time so it's fairly obvious he can fit a game in. If he loses it's embarassing but if he wins he becomes validated on Phobos.

* Phobos confidence is admirable to actually chase him and take the risk of losing and being embarassed in front of everyone. It's not like Nauzhror is a noob (2200 rating and generally has the skill just lack of head in key moments). It seems the difference is mindsets, one is confident and one is a serial bottler to pressure moments.

* Cloud Strife with the bit of truth, god your blunt Strife it's brilliant there's no sugar coating with you.

* This all started from Phobo's 1v1 ladder guide. Which means that if I didn't make those 2v2 and 3v3 ladder guides, we'd likely not get his 1v1 ladder guide hence this drama. Meaning I'm totally validated in my efforts into making those guides as it's lead to an overall community benefit.

* You got to love a underdog, 4-2 Nauzhror. I genuinely believe whoever wins the first game will win the series and it's 2020 where anything can happen.

A far more realistic expectation, regardless of who wins is 6-4, or 6-5. I'm not wasting my time playing 10-11 games to try and prove something I don't care about. People on discord have been trying to create drama because they're bored.

FWIW, yes, I think I'd win, it's not because I beat Phobos in our previous game, it's not even because he made lousy picks vs Robert E Lee, it's because he doubled down on those lousy picks, and tried to defend them when people told him they were bad. Everyone makes bad picks occasionally. Most people who are actually good though can look at those picks afterwards and acknowledge that they were flawed. Being unable to do so implies a larger lack of understanding than merely making said picks does.

Also his claim that my win vs him was ancient history is laughable, it's like 7 months old, it and other losses that occurred right after it expiring were what allowed him to get rank 1.

Well my account is 21 months old, so 7 months is 33% of my playing career. BTW my ladder rating at the time was 2030, it's now 200 points higher, but I'm sure I haven't improved at all in that time.

Good Kid and Omniscient left the 1 v 1 Ladder a long time ago. They were never ranked #1 at that point. They basically abandoned their trophy dreams, Pulsey called them quitters, for fun I guess, but nonetheless true.

Nowadays you run around and shout Nauzhror is going to win. You behave like a clown. Nauzhror will join Mercer in the grave soon. His Warzone skills don’t go further than overanalyzing.

Nobody believes you will actually play a single game.

He attacked you on a strategy guide that he had no history with, he wasnt even playing the ladder at the time you started writing it. This was his last point of contact with all the ladder players that are now on a different level. He ruined it. He didn’t play against you. If he has a problem with your picks he should have 1v1'd you. Congrats for being the first to becoming a legend for winning a ladder challenge outside WZ, without playing a single game.

Of course my opinion stays the same. This project of a best-of-11 Strat MME challenge will fail. Hopefully in the future someone else will come along and give Nauzhror's elitism meaning again.

Declining a challenge has nothing to do with thinking you'd lose it.

I don't care who'd win. I don't care about the opinions of others, at all. All of you can take this giant circlejerk and jump off a fucking cliff for all I care. I'm not jumping through hoops to prove myself to people I don't care about. Nor am I jumping through hoops to prove to myself that I'm better than someone I don't rate. I'm not boasting that I'm great. I'm not. I also don't think Phobos is great. Losing to him wouldn't make him great. Beating him wouldn't make me great. We'd both be merely decent regardless of the outcome. There's nothing to prove here. There's just time to waste. Time I'd much rather spend doing lots of other things that don't involve warzone or trying to gain the equivalent of reddit karma from a bunch of people on the internet.

This challenge is never going to be accepted, because there is absolutely zero reason for me to give a shit about the challenge. The only thing that came from this was me blacklisting rakleader , rikku, and Phobos for being obnoxious.

I'm sure they don't care that they're blacklisted. I don't expect them to. I don't blacklist people to "punish them". I blacklist them to reward myself. Not seeing their posts, or mails, or being able to be invited to games by them is the reward.
