Today in a game szeweningen and me found out that despite the long time we have been playing warlight now there is still a mystery to unravel.
It is about the name "Warlight"
Sze believes the light in warlight comes from "light" as in sunlight, while I believe it is "light" as in Cocacola Light.

Please tell us what you thought, when you created the name and which one is true.

In the meantime I will open up a poll for the community, to see what you believe which light fizzer had in mind.

I always thought that light was related to different colors we use in-game. In any case, to Fizzer, do not answer in this thread directly, keep that a secret and reveal it someday on Warlight Weekly :)

I thought it was a different "light."

Perhaps it's the idea that the game is about war, but is indeed a "light" version of it since he couldn't get a hold of real armies for us to blow stuff up with.

He was gonna name it "Warsight", but typed wrong

He mentioned this once. Now WL uses flash. Before it used something with the word light. So WL should change its name to WarFlash since it stopped using the light program.

Originally it was based out of Microsoft Silverlight program. War + silverlight = Warlight.

The fuck is "Coca cola light"?

Does the light have to do with the fog of war levels?

My dear Magnus, "Coca-cola light" on some markets is called "Diet coke". It's basically the same thing. In some regions it's also sold as "Coke light" or lite..

If I remember correctly when this game was initially created games or apps that were free to play were often had light added as an addendum.

so for instance there would be a game lets say Tanki and the free version would be called Tanki Light. I always thought since he used the free to play business model(which features perks for membership) that Warlight was an appropriate name considering the ubiquitous use of the term in free to play development circles.

it's from silverlight. warlight first version was on microsoft silverlight not flash. said so somewhere written by fizzer.

I'm a fan of Pepsi Wild Cherry myself. But only Pepsi Wild Cherry.

If I'm looking for straight up cola taste, I like RC. Just brings back memories :)

Gentleman, I do believe you mean App Demos. A paid app has a free version, with either less items or annoying ads.

For example, Minecraft PE Lite may have only 10 blocks.

Since there is only 1 warlight, how would that make sense?
