The Last Alliance's Discord has a #worldviews channel that's been mostly host to reasonable political/religious discussions (often with long walls of text), from people of all sorts of viewpoints. It's guest-visible and has some regulars (LND, Tristan, Pepe), so you might want to just use that instead of creating a whole new Discord (
https://discord.gg/f8eXQsh).
Alternatively, the WZ Public Chat Discord has a #politics channel (
https://discord.gg/vqHxGyq), which again has opposing viewpoints but mostly a left-leaning slant (I think it's dominated by left-leaning Americans + Europeans). That one's got a variety of users plus high visibility since it's on the biggest/most important Warzone Discord server.
There's plenty of existing good venues to talk about politics, religion, and other weighty topics if you're so inclined. Historically, creating new servers to discuss politics with Warzone players has usually resulted in some odd servers. The last one I remember (Karl's server) had people fantasizing about sexual encounters with Nazi nuns.
