This is to announce that I am heading up a new clan with the following members:

[WG] ChrisCMU
[WG] JSA • apex
[WG] Swiffe
[WG] qaqa

We will finish all tournaments we are currently participating in under the [P] banner, but will be representing [WG] going forward.

The clan will comprise of good to elite players and we welcome tryouts if you feel that represents you and you'd like to join a group of other good players.

The process for trying out (in case you are interested) will be as follows:

A pre-screening game with myself (strategic template). If you fair well (don't have to win), additional matches will be arranged with the rest of the clan (1s, 2s, 3s) and they will determine (again not wins or losses but skill) whether you are in.

I never really took over [P]. JSA asked me to, but as I told them I didn't really feel comfortable running an established clan I was so new to. Also, there seemed to be a division in that most of the people in the new [WG] didn't play with the people still in [P] much.

So, hopefully they can find someone currently in [P] to run it. I suppose that depends on who tries out for [WG]. Falcoun and SGV are pretty active though, so one of them might step up, I don't know. That is up to them though.

If not, you might have some people looking for a new clan to join.

Sounds a lot like RSP to me, small sized semi elite clan.
I'll join, if I can be part of RSP and wg at the same time.

I'm on holiday right now, when I come back I'll make a game with you if I remember, k? W'll probably play small map, I have no time to play big maps.

and yes.. i have to agree with Arun on one thing: the tag is "slightly" similar to that of WM.. and then the name.. first impression is obvious, but on the other hand - does it really matter? In my opinion not at all. And imho the name's very good for an elitist clan. Only one funny thing regarding the name - it would look great if "mere" War Masters beat GODS of War in the clan league, wouldn't it? ;)

Arun, as I have told you before, please stay off threads involving a clan I am in. You are quite annoying.

Fridge, Sorry about the tag...We weren't thinking about [WM] when we decided on it...We were just looking for a good name and War Gods seemed the best. I am looking forward to the clan league. I think we will suprise some clans and it should be a lot of fun. But I must admit, the War Masters are definitely favorites over the War Gods and I would be suprised if we beat you guys. But you never know, there are always upsets :)

Clans according to Lion. WM and Apex are predators. WG = WM + PG 13 monkeys. Warlighter are the young, old and sick to be preyed on. Elite are big and strong in appearance but mentally slow pack animals that die when isolated from the herd. P are endangered species. CPU are AIs who have experienced descent with modification. All other clans are monkeys.

I would classify WG as a predator. In the clan leagues, [P] ranked 2nd, and WG is just the best from [P].

JSA, Stop being a prick. The man is allowed to comment on any forum he so chooses, just as you are free to do so.

None of the clanplayers are predators. Ok, hyeanas maybe, since they are all packanimals. Maybe one clan or another has an alpha, but the rest is mostly herd. The real predators out there, are hunting alone.

Richard - not sure what has gone on between them, hopefully they can bury the hatchet because the solution JSA provided isn't good.

On the other hand, I don't think it is fair for people to put us in a box like that. Why say clan A is like clan B? Why not just go by the message of their leader? People are often too quick to use analogies instead of just evaluating something separate. Every time there is a great young basketball player, people compare him to Jordan. That is just one example of many.

All I am asking is to evaluate our clan on what it is, and let our play determine our place in your mind. We were a clan with two sub groups of players that didn't really mix anymore. The idea of a clan is to have people that do play together/learn from one another/whatever the goal is. When that was not occurring, then this seemed like the best way to go. Let those that play together still do so, just under separate banners.
