As a Catholic, I feel sorry for all those children and I think that priests-pedophiles should be banned. However, not all Catholic priests are pedophiles, and not all of the pedophiles are priests; so that's just another stereotype based on some cases.

The king, I don't even attend church, I'm not a catholic or protestant. I would count myself as a Christian, but I'm not actually a religious person. As, for the OMRLP, no I would never vote for them. They aren't anti-capitalist or revolutionaries, they're just a bit of a joke. And yes, I do hate poop. ;)

I'm a newbie here so I might not have as much right to complain as others but I'm surprised that anyone would tolerate the kind of open bigotry OMRLP is demonstrating. If someone did a new map of Africa and nicknamed it N*****land would that be cool too?

FYI, in the United States, public school teachers and doctors both have a higher rate of child abuse than Catholic priests, so OMRLP's bigotry is both ill-informed and misdirected.

I never said what some priests did was right, nor has anyone else, anywhere. Abusing children is unspeakably evil. But you apparently feel that makes it right to slur a billion people, or their religious leadership, as child molesters when the facts say that priests are less likely to to abuse children than other people with similar burdens of trust. So either you make similar attacks against school teachers and doctors, or you are singling out Catholics contrary to facts. Remind me again, how is that not religious bigotry?

It's also a pretty cheap cop out to claim surprise that anyone would be offended. Even assuming you had the best of motives, you were going for shock humor over straight up bigotry. So when your intention is to shock people, you are surprised that people might be offended?

but the church as an institution attempted to cover it up, and just move the accused on to a new area. something which schools and hospitals wouldn't do. it doesn't mean every catholic is a paedophile or even that a catholic priest is likely to be a paedophile, but the vatican is the headquarters of an institution that knowingly abetted paedophiles. which is why they are linked in the mind of the public.

as if that statistic could be remotely accurate, not that it is valid anyway, since it applies only to a single country. but the sort of logic i would expect from such a dogmatist. it's also very weird that you have that fact at hand to reel off.

As for the map, why are the territories so big? it makes the bonus links impossibly small and therefore no one will use it on mobile and no one will ever be able to tell how much the bonuses are worth without zooming in WAY to close. make the territories smaller.

Kaleb, I'm going to scale it before it's finished. They're only that size temporarily.

Update: I'm on holiday now so I won't be doing any more work on this map for 2 weeks.
