Has anyone come into contact with this guy? He seems to think rape is funny. I have no idea why he brought the subject of rape into the argument we were having. But then he continues to casually throw it about and saying my gf deserved it.
Im not quite sure I want to play on here anymore if people are going to be like this. I know its only a game but you have to draw the line somewhere. I didnt pay membership to this site to put up with this crap.
and again yet another case of petty people taking offence to petty things... what makes this worse is that if you cant muster enough self control to ignore something as silly as this their is a wonderful blacklist option just for people like you. So now you have 2 additional options other than quitting a game just because someone used rape to convey they're twisted sense of humor.

You think how long someone would last long in a crowd of people joking about rape? Its not a funny subject at all. Why would I want to hang around people like that and even play a game with them? Hes no better than rapists. He may have deluded himself to higher levels laughing at his own twisted humor but he is in fact on the same level as them. As I said Im considering whether to play on here anymore if people are going to act like scum. Kids play on here and I don't think they need to be taught that rape is funny. The sad thing is he will just join with another account as he said with no remorse for his actions. On that note I think I will be ending my time on warlight unless fizzer can assure me people like this will be banned and remained banned. There are plenty of options. I paid membership to support the site, not comedy about rape. 30 dollars for 16 days. not bad.
Unders, blacklist, report and move on. That's all you can do about it. Such stupidity will happen on any such site and there is zero reasonable or practical way to stop it.
Just ignore the trolls and refuse to play them. Someone acts that way in a game then immediately blacklist them and you won't even have to read their text in that game never mind the future.
You seem to miss the point. I am paying for this behavior to continue and kids play this site. So lets just ignore it as a community, thats the responsible thing to do. Problem is, there is no reasonable or practical way to ban such trolls. So long as there are free accounts it will be open to trolling by children such as that.
You demand a ban. How would you implement such a ban? IP bans are easily defeated and far too broad.
Facebook or google sign ins linked to accounts. More Moderators to deal more swiftly with these problems. If we leave this fester it will only get worse. You either up your game or someone else will take your place. Warlight isn't hard to copy and there are other board emulators out there already, open source and not flash based. What stands it out from the them is the community. If we dont pull the weeds its just grow into something out of our control. You are basically just deflecting the problem and saying its impossible to defeat. Nice attitude but thanks for your input.
That assumes all accounts link to facebook. They currently do not have to and nor should that be a requirement. Besides, FB is a free account so fake ones can easily be generated.
You say it will fester and grow worse and yet this site has existed for a number of years with minimal issue. Why would it now suddenly grow?
I am sorry if you see realism as deflection. I like to deal with the tangible and the possible, not the abstract and unrealistic demands. A good rule in life is that instead of simply demanding change, you sit down and think about how to make that change a reality. Any fool can make demands. Only the useful can develop the means to implement such a demand.

I never said rape was funny although their are a few comedians out their who have taken a crack at it and are successful. now about him sitting behind a computer that is exactly what happened he sat behind a computer and goaded you because you were to easy, its not as if you or anyone else was in real danger of losing their cherry. fact is trolls take advantage of people like you because its entertaining, very much the same concept as watching a cat chase a laser light. making this public is just feeding them and everyone says you shouldnt feed the trolls.

we'll first sentence, Its been done as i said by comedians and they made money from it so not so bad actually. as for why you would want to hang around people who would joke about rape that is entirely your choice as everyone has a choice and in america the freedom of speech. jokes put you nowhere near as the same level as to what they're joking about, in that train of thought everyone who has ever told a black joke is a slave owner or that everyone who has told a religious joke is an atheist. and that is just soo false i cant even began to scratch the surface of a description.
so far you have pointed out only 1 person who has so offended you with a joke about rape so its person not people but even so if that is enough to keep you from playing a game, that is also your choice i might as well point out the ever so useful blacklist option though instead of requesting a ban, just because something that offends you does not mean it will offend someone else. and as for the last sentence that is just censorship which i very much disapprove of so i will skip that subject (to save my fingers) and just say you should probably worry about your own kids its not your right or business to raise others peoples children if you believe your kids cannot handle a troll block them from using Warlight with parental block software while your at it you should probably and to your list of blocked websites, yahoo, facebook, just about any MMO game, MSN, Google and any place with a chat room really. While i don't approve of trolls i don't think he has much of a reason to show remorse in america now a days you cannot shake a stick without offending someone, if one were to have remorse every-time he or she offended someone they'd be a very sad individual. probably contemplating suicide.
