Sandy is estimated to hit the coast of New Jersey within the next 6 hours. (12 mindnight BWT), its first stop is predicted to be Washington, Philadelphia and New York before heading though Pennsylvania. Within the last few hours it has tripled its travel speed and strengh and slows no sign of stopping. Further more its predicted to almost certainly plow north though Rochester and Toronto.
However this inst the end of it. Sandy is predicted to go straight into Ottawa and Montreal (Candas capital and one of Canadas biggest cities,) with a almost full force still.
The death toll in Cuba is still rising and has hit the 70 mark. Most of Cuba and Jamaica is still without water and electricty. 9 US states have now declared emergency:

Can we all please give some leeway with booting? I know a lot of people on WL who are from that area, so can all of you refrain from booting at the 3 day mark, and pass the message along. People's lives may be at risk, so the last thing they need is to be booted when they come back :)

my reaction in case of a storm is to stand outside and enjoy the rain, but then storms here aren't too violent :S

I wasn't joking about not booting though; some restraint in booting would be welcome to those in that area, as internet may be down for them for a while.
