My first map with artifacts. First I thought there are none as they didn't come up. Now found 5 dig sites and I only played couple of days. Didn't take long to realize digging isn't anything for start of the level. 278B to start digging will move it close to the finish. Didn't even bother concuering the other spots yet.

Yep, I feel the digging is a bit too expensive r n, since I always have 2 digsites to go when I capture another one. This also make the levels longer, but that might be compensated by the improvements from the artifacts once I got a few of them.

But still, the dig sites should be about 40% cheaper....

Digging is usually the last thing you do before ending the level. On Geopolitics I had 2 uncovered dig sites before ending level. So I was waiting for 25 hours to get one dig, and then I launched second dig and finished geopolitics :)

hukutka94, I had the same thing. I should have chosen 8 hrs digging first and leave the longest digging for the end...

It says the digging will continue even if you finish the level. So might be wise to start them really late and just leave digging.

Does anyone have a legendary artifact yet? curious if they really make a difference or not. so far, uncommon is pretty lame.

I am pretty much sure the bonus is just multiplied by the rarity of artifact, like, nothing big.
For example I got Money Cache Boost rare, and it has 16% bonus. I think it works this way:
Poor 4%, Common 8%, Uncommon 12%, Rare 16%, Epic 20%, Legendary 24%
Probably Supercharge Mine works like 1 minute/2 minutes/3 minutes/4/5/6 or maybe even 1/1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5
I got only poor supercharge, it works for 1 minute with 24h cooldown

i got Supercharge Mine and damage territory. I have to activate them to use them.
but i also hve for example Money Cache Boost or smelt double. Those dont have the "acivate" button. that means thy are automatically use ? for example the money cash boost give me +8% of the money cache i pick up ?

also what does "smelt double" do when it says : 3% chance of smelters producing two alloys instead of one ? Means somehow i would have 2 alloy when i smelt 1 ? on 3 out of 100 smelts ? that totally useless no?

If it procs on a unobtonium bar or whatnot, it’d be freaking awesome. Could toggle when the multihour build time is up. The passive bonus money boost someone mentioned seemed pretty great. I like the “reduce a territory by x%” one alright since it can essentially save me an hour’s worth of troops on the big targets even at uncommon. Plus i retains value. The free merc one is nice to have for newer forays into a map. My biggest issues is still that the market economy is grossly imbalanced

That would be the expected bonus, but it's not that simple. You may get unlucky and not get a double smelt in a given 100 smelts, or you may get very lucky and get 200 alloys in a given 100 smelts. That 3% is a random chance. You're not guaranteed 3 extra alloys every 100 smelts.

but to use them, they just have to placed in the 3 card window and dont need anay activation is that it ?

still i dont get : 3% chance of smelters producing two alloys instead of one. if i smelt an ore and watch it smelt 100 ores, i will have 103 at the end of the 100 smelts ? or am i more stupid than i tought i was ?

Passive means you just need them equipped at the time of proccing (when the bar smelts). Chance is just chance. Each time you smelt a bar, imagine a 100 sides dice rolls. If it lands on 1, 2, or 3... you get two bars. If not, the usual 1 bar

I have a passive draft booster, and a passive hospital booster. it's nice, when im just waiting to accumulate armies and occasionally drafting, I keep my draft bonus active, and then when I go on a spree of territory conquering, I substitute in the hospital bonus.

I think it is beneficial to start digging before the end for sure (now that I've done a few) so you get more artifacts without lingering on the level. But I would only buy them if you have the money to spend at the moment.

I think I like the passive artifacts better. Because the ones you "activate" will be stuck in that slot for 24 hours.

There seem to be a number of kinds, also. And it does seem like the rarity only impacts the boosts you get (ie 5% vs 10% etc)

Are dig sites one time use only? I know you can't dig again on a given play of the map, but if you replay the map, can you dig at those sites again? Or is it like bonus powers that go away after getting collected twice?
