What type of map do you want to make? What ideas do you have? This will give me ideas on how to help you.

Have you downloaded Inkscape yet? If not that's step one.

Once you have downloaded inkscape, and have an idea of what you want the map to be of, then I could help you.

That's a pretty cool design. But mapmaking is a complicated process, and the warlight wiki is the most complete resource to describe the whole process. If you need help with any particular part of the process, the mapmaker community is always happy to help you out :)

The wiki will cover 99.99%, if your questions are not answered there then post a post in the map making forum.

That is most of what you need to know right there, but I also have one recommendation that you won't find on the wiki, which is to turn your map 90 degrees to the left or right. It will fit better landscape than portrait on a computer that way.

I'm pretty sure the default is landscape* anyways.

It is, but putting a tall map on a wide screen makes large borders on either side of the map. It would just fit better if it was sideways, but its up to him what he wants to do.

Shut up Wolffe :p Now problem, I put all the territories in (roughly :/ ) but i didnt assign them as "Territory_1" etc. How can i reselect my territories to assign I.D's? Is this possible or will I have to start again? >:(

Using the 'Select' tool, just click on the each territory and press Ctrl+Shift+O to open the Object Description window. Then from there you assign each territory its ID.

EDIT: Keep in mind it doesn't matter what numbers you use to ID it, just don't reuse them.
