Since I'm a masochist, I figure...why not?
So let's get down to business. This will be much like my 2v2 promotion/relegation league, but I'll re-post some of the details here.
This league is for anyone who wants to join. There's no prerequisites.
INITIAL PLACEMENT
I and some helpers will comb through the list of teams and separate them into seeds. There will be 5 seeds:
'Excellent' Seed: 3v3 team is well-known and excels at winning, a lot.
'Good' Seed: 3v3 team is a group of solid players who can occasionally give the 'Excellent' players trouble.
'Average' Seed: 3v3 team is a group of players who are newer to 3v3, but seem promising.
'Wildcard 1' Seed: 3v3 team cannot be determined at either the 'Good' seed or the 'Average' seed.
'Wildcard 2' Seed: 3v3 is unknown, no idea at all where they could be placed.
Then, I will randomize the lists in order to get groups with 1 team from each seed. They will be invited into a round robin. My helpers and I will be judging based on this criteria:
1. Picks/Gameplay
2. Win/Loss ratio
3. Reputation outside the league.
What this simply means is even if you have a good ratio, say.. 3-1, this won't guarantee you placement in the top leagues.
From those initial RRs, I'll be able to determine where you best fit in the leagues. If you feel you deserve to be higher or lower, play the season out and prove it. :), but I'm sure no one who deserves to be at the bottom will be at the top, or vice versa.

LEAGUES
There will be as many leagues as the crowd needs, and this will be determined during initiation on how the split will be. There will never be more than 8 teams in a league, and there will never be fewer than 5 teams in a league.
You will be invited to a chat tournament that will constantly keep you updated on standings and such, but most importantly I'll use it to run a vote of what templates to use for the season. This will be done before league-play starts, and popular vote is popular vote. Once the template has been decided on everyone will be invited to their respective league's RR.
Then we'll play out the season. This is how promotions and relegations will work:
Top 2 teams will go up 1 league.
Bottom 2 teams will go down 1 league.
If a team manages to have a perfect record (6-0, or 7-0), they will be moved up 2 leagues.
If a team manages to have a total loss record (0-6 or 0-7), they will be moved down 2 leagues.
If you have a perfect record at the top league, then I assume you're Gui playing with Gui, and having Gui as a cheerleader.
Ties will be decided on:
Breaker 1 - head to head results.
Breaker 2 - Compare wins of teams lost to.
Breaker 3 - Compare wins of teams defeated.
Breaker 4 - Preseason rankings(this will not be available until season 2, It will be the order teams finished the season before.) It rewards consistency. Until this is available I will randomly determine winners. I think the number that gets to this point before season 2 will be minimal and not worth a fuss. (courtesy of Grinche)
EXPANSIONS AND CONTRACTIONS
It will happen. Extra teams coming in or out may cause a league to be completely taken out, or one to be put in. Quite simply: Don't worry about it. You might be knocked down a league, or put up a league, but so will 6-7 other players. The system is designed to correct itself, so you may not be in the ideal league for a season, but play your hardest and you will be. Initial placements will be highly scrutinized and tested before placing above league veterans.
JOINING THE LEAGUE AT SEASON 2+
This gets a bit dicey, and will depend mostly on how many teams are joining in. If we get somewhere around 20 or more, then the first rules will apply. If 10-20 groups want to join, I will host a double elimination tournament in order to see where you should go. If below 10 groups want to join, you will be forced to play league teams at random to see where you fit in.
LEAVING THE LEAGUE
If you want to leave, invite me (Lolowut) to a game and explain. If an entire team wants to retire, no problems. If 2 teammates want to retire, the entire team is by default retired. If 1 teammate wants to retire, a new player can be substituted in, and rankings won't change.

Two ways to sign up.

2. I'll be making an invite tournament, simply say in the tournament chat: "Hey Lolowut, Blank, Blankity, and I are a team." And join the tournament with Blank and Blankity.
