Whenever I save a file, it saves. Whenever I try to reopen a file, Inkscape says "Failed to reopen the requested file {says the file's name}" & Then opens a blank file. Please help.

SVG files are just text. Try opening the file in notepad and maybe something inside of it will help you figure out why inkscape won't open it.

Did you update inkscape recently, or have had multiple versions of inkscape at any point?

Since, reinstalling (uninstall, then install) inkscape (if you tried this) did not fix a similar* issue I had.

I deleted everything in C:\Program Files\Inkscape , then installed inkscape again, and it worked. Not sure if there are things here that you might want to back-up or not. Maybe C:\Program Files\Inkscape\share\inkscape\extensions

Well, I think I figured it out... When I save the file, a thing that basically says what type of file this is says "SVG". That doesn't work, but I tried changing it from the standard "SVG" to "Inkscape SVG".
That seemed to work for the current map I am making.
