wow this got active while i'm gone haha. from what i'm reading what makes auto conquer good is the challenges, battles, and it gets to work even when i'm idle.

i didn't think about how it would go ahead and conquer territories i missed. that would be nice, unless it had a negative bonus like that one level haha

Yes Jon , sorry to have interfere in your thead !!!

I think i got it know, while Splat been very very helpful !!
the reason if maybe i dont understand fast and clearly is most certainly due to my english vocabulary.

Still, and not considering the benefit of entering the other modes in idle, i think i prefer to keep of the control of my "attacks" and strategy (if i got one...)

If i may share, dont you think this autoconquer could make the joint strike power null ?
sometimes i conquer a territory before another one i am aiming to, just to gain the JS power, and only after i conquer the next territory ii wanted

dont know if i make myself clear here...

if the autoconquer takes a territory named F for example, which is not connected to 2 territories A and B, there wont be then a Joint Strike advantage...

yes this seems like it would screw up JS. I maxed that upgrade and save a TON with it.

The levels are getting bigger and bigger. Each level usually takes longer than the previous one. Updates modify the average duration of the levels, I didn't keep track how many AP per hour I get, it seems to be slightly above 1AP / hour, if you don't hit the time limit too often.
Regarding autoconquer, I too prefer choosing my own targets, so I keep it off. When returning from idle, I prefer conquering the territories myself - finding them taken by autoconquer doesn't feel like playing.
For the challenges, if you want those 100AP / level, you will find that you have to invest more than you receive. To beat the first challenge with 5% AC, you need +150% army camps (artefacts can help reaching it).

I can definitely understand how coming back to a game and seeing some levels that have already been conquered as not really playing, but I see at least some benefit from that because of completing continents and getting bonuses that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise, that would be the case with auto upgrade as well even though I do think the advantages will probably be minimal with them at least partially paying for them self it seems like a good investment

but I think it would be different for everyone, some people probably just play through every level one time where I've been replaying a lot even if the AP gain is minimal because I learn something in my most difficult level and then go back to a particular old level to try that kind of strategy again at a faster speed and see if it helps

I forgot to comment on the example of territories a B & F that was above, I've noticed at least in the levels that I've done, the lowest value territory, which would be the one that auto conquer would take care of first is normally the one most connected to other territories, but then occasionally the low-value territories will surround a high-value territory, but in my normal gameplay I end up clicking the low value territories anyway so if won't change my time too much. I need to get better at letting it wait and conquer the big territories first and use the 25% to conquer the small ones afterwards

It is absolutely fine to play manually and guide your territory conquers by the value of bonuses and recipes. From lowest to highest, haven't seen any map yet, that was bad while using this conquering method :D
Sometimes, of course, you can see a hospital / army camp nearby on "higher cost ground", so gonna grind for longer, to get them before conquering new territories.
Going for that automated stuff now sucks a lot of APs for little benefit, like, really, it is almost the same as click - wait - click manually.
The beginning minimum of each automated advancement is too low, I am not ready to waste my aps on them. I find it better to increase incoming profit for mercenaries, money, armies, which will speed up the overall completion of any map, than beginning to waste those on auto-stuff. :p

i just found a map where i wish that i'd conquered it differently, but without revealing 150 territories with a powerup (probably was more than that many territories on the map anyway haha) i would never have known where the best hospital and mine was haha

it's an interesting math puzzle to try to guess which would be better, grinding towards those best ones the fast "route", maxing tech and then taking the fast route, or just hitting territories in order of troop size and hoping that the bonuses and recipes give enough benefit overall to finish faster lol

Order of troop size is usually bad for me. Because there are lots of small-small-small-EXTRA LARGE territories. But when following size of bonuses you actually can understand approximately how big army is needed to conquer it.
For example, you see 20m - 24m - 40m - ??? - ??? territories. Looking at their bonus, you can understand how big are those 2 hidden ones. If you see like 400 c/sec, then they are probably 100-120M each. If you see 3k, for example, then either both with ~400-500M, or 1 with 800M and 1 of size 100-200M.
Especially now, on bigger maps (requiring ~2 weeks to complete) it is common thing that bonuses have such situations, where lots of small territories are hiding a big chunk in the fog and if you would just blindly go for smaller territories, you might get into situation, where you conquered all territories from bonus except one or two, but those require like 10hours of waiting to conquer, while those smaller required around 20 minutes. Something like that, not very scientific explanation, but it is just my personal experience! :DDD

It was fun on one of the maps, there was a 350 c/sec bonus hidden inside a circle of 2-4k territories... and I couldn't find a recipe for smelting nickel bars... just guess where was it hidden? lmao :D now I look through all the bonuses, paths, shortcuts etc. before planning a strategy for beating the map. (when I can, I always use fog just in the beginning of the level, it is not really useful in later phase)

Just got in such situation :D Went for 3k bonus with fastest route through "highlands", found super big hospital and two army camps, in that 3k area probably will find that much needed tin can recipe (not really sure, will find out tomorrow) :D
