I've been playing a lot of real time quickmatch games (I play on small earth wastelands only) and have found that its really hard to increase my rating after a certain point. Most games I get are against much lower rated players and I end up either gaining 1 rating for a win, or losing 10 for a loss, and despite my win rate it seems almost impossible to climb. I don't know whether I've reached some kind of natural plateau or what. My rating in small earth wastlands is ~610 and my rating globally is ~720. Has anyone else experienced this, do you know how high the rating can go before it plateaus or if it even ever does?

Try playing almost any template other than SE, you tend to get higher rated opponents.

Yes, my experience is yes, you can sort of reach that plateau, which is why you play a much wider variety of templates, and that plateau suddenly becomes much higher.
