Personally I don't understand people who suddenly feel compassion and the need to be hip with their heartfelt sorrow after tragedies.
Praying ??? What for...it achieves nothing.
As a grand gesture ?? That's really going to help brothers/sisters and parents to get their loved ones back.
Was it such a big event ?? Daily thousands of kids die from malnutrition, why is the life of these kids worth more then those who happened to have been born in Africa ??

Seriously, can we just leave the holier then thy attitude behind and accept that the world is an unfair place. Yes, we all would have liked an event such as this to not have happened but it has. Nothing we can change about that. End of story.

Not to sound harsh ( I knew one of the victims ) , but it seems these days everyone is so sad when a child or baby or a clump of white* color dies. Look at Africa. Look at the Middle East. Look at China. Racists :P

Now remember, while the gang (led by a black guy wielding a fire extinguisher) attempts to incapacitate the guy with an incredibly powerful shotgun, make sure that there is at least one female co-worker screaming in terror and cowering in the corner.
