How do I share a border between objects in Inkscape?
I have a map that will be split into many countries, with multiple territories within each country. Each territory will be an object, but my limited experience tells me you need to create a new set of connected lines for each object. I don't want to retrace the borders more than once if I can help it. Is there a way to draw my "Bezier curve and straight lines" once over my reference image, then group together the lines together into an object?
Thanks.

I'm not an Inkscape expert, and if you don't get a good answer here I would suggest trying an Inkscape forum. However, here's one thing that may help if I understand your question correctly:
1. Draw a bigger object that encompasses both territories
2. Select the pencil, and draw a line where the border should be
3. Select both the line and the big object
4. Click Path -> Division
This will cut the big object into two pieces along the line, and their borders will overlap exactly.
Does this help? There may be an easier way.

Perfect! Thanks! This helps me break up my countries into territories.
