I hate the settings tbh. It could be worse but it is completely pointless expansion and attacking, there is little strategy involved. It is just no fun for me. I think Guiroma would have been a lot better. I hope Fizzer listens to the majority, and goes with Guiroma next season (unless we find a new favorite template by then).

i'm really bad on these settings, but they're a million times better than the 1v1 ladder imo

I do not understand why Season 7 is so unpopular. It's much more fun than Guiroma. Just my opinion; people are probably gonna hate on me for it.

i confess i hated the initial thought of not being able to do combos. but i do like the 0 luck fast expansion part. after a few games the settings are starting to grow on me.

The problem with them is not that the expansion isn't good. It's when two good plaeyrs meet and they both have about 20 income. Those games will always be long and drawn out and I hate those kinds of games. That's the reason I don't like the settings.

I did like the template, is very straight forward, but the major problem is bonus 2 at this point are really usell at my point of view. Make the map smaller than it seems.

And i dont agree good players will have a boring long game. For example Japan and Alaska are extremely important in this settings and the multiple probable threats happening.

Yes, the problem with Heavy Earth is that there are too many twos, so those bonuses will only be picked as counters. But I don't agree with you, JSA, because there are not as many chokepoints in Heavy Earth as Medium Earth, so it's less likely that there will be stalemates. And I'm also glad that Alaska and East Russia are finally getting some use.

I drew Red lost and now I have Nord (he says he can't join the game because he is busy :/ ). I'm doing well-ish this season though.

Next season I'd like to see Imperium Romanum, but maybe not on Gui's settings (I very much doubt Fizzer would use other player's settings on it anyway; all the seasons are original).

Lolowut has an obsession with Guiroma. Therefore, Guiroma must be awful.

the precocious rankings still makes my head dizzy. i'm starting to believe there should be no rankings below 10 games played and that the season should be something like 30 games.

also, i really hate seeing higher level players give up on the ladder after getting beat by lower level players.
