Represent your home nation in a series of events and win bronze, silver, and gold medals! Each nation will have a maximum of six representatives. Each event will consist of a 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 single elimination tournament. This is how the medal system will work:

There are TWO ways you can participate in this!

1) Represent your nation, and participate as a competitor in the games!

You may also:

2) Suggest a template to be used as an event.

Below is a list of the nations and their competitors.

How are you deciding what counts as a nation? Since you're calling this the WarLight Olympics, are you using the nations that compete at the Olympics? http://www.olympic.org/national-olympic-committees

Ⓐrun, this is why I asked which way we're doing this, I wanted a list a countries. There's no set list of countries because that's just too debatable. Questions such as:
Will the UK have a team or will lots of different teams?
Will 'countries' with limited recognition be counted?

We need a full list as the word 'country' is not well defined. Are we using it to mean sovereign states? Do we count constituent countries? We need a full list.

Since about a third of Warlight is American, it would be reasonable to divide it up. I believe that's how things worked at the Nations Cup.

Can I represent Cornwall? I'm pretty sure they like to recognise themselves as independent...

See, even the Cornish want to be represented, although it doesn't take much to realise that Cornish nationalism is merely a form of localism. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornish_nationalism) However, we need some pre-defined list. Even if we do the members of the UN, that still leaves some small parts of the world unrepresented. We need a list, which is why I suggested the nations that compete at the Olympics, since this is an Olympics. Even those at the Olympics who come from somewhere unrecognised can compete under the Olympic flag as independent Olympic athletes.

Edit: why do we need to give 2 bronze medals, why not have a bronze medal game between the 2 losers of the semi-finals?

Any of the 204 current NOCs may join: http://www.olympic.org/national-olympic-committees

An alternate account is okay, but if it is found out that you are using multiple accounts, your nation as a whole will be disqualified.

If more than 6 people want to represent a nation, everyone will play in a single free for all game and the last three players alive are the representatives.

OMRLP, I would rather just have one tournament per event and not have to worry about remembering which event needs a bronze medal game and which one has been decided, etc. Perhaps the two bronze medals will only count as half a medal each?

Why not create the bronze medal match in a separate game? It can still count towards the Olympics even if it doesn't appear on the tournament's overview page.

If you are by yourself, you can still participate in the 1v1 events. If you have 2 team members, you can participate in the 1v1 and 2v2 events. If you have 3 or more team members, you can participate in all the events. So no worries if you cannot find teammates.
