to make good maps you need to know basic strategy (:
anyway, why pay to make maps when we have great map-makers doing it free? (skunk, ceph, szew, etc.)
On the other hand a map-making conquest every year based on who made the best maps overall and rewarded by a free membership to give away (or use) could be interesting (:

Szew has not made a map not that am aware of one,can't really judge ceph's map making skills because there's no different border colour in his public map if we were to judge the map on idea only since aesthetics is hard to judge it's great and skunk being a great map maker well we have different ideas on great then.
