Greetings, all!
As I was getting to much Fog Busters (usually at least 2 in game and daily and few winning the wheel), they become increasingly annoying and after a big part of the map is revealed (and not occupied) it is hard to focus on important unobtained advancements (smelters, traders, army camps, mines, etc. - fog buster usually keeps schedule what is next) as they can be found everywhere (I am starting second thread about that issue) and not particularly visible at the time.
I propose that instead flat 150 territories, Fog Buster can have 10% of the territories not visible (or 150 if 10% is more than that), but at least 10 territories if it is later phase when 10% is only few territories, and FB should not reveal last 1%.
This way FB will have it's use as too many FB makes really mess in game.

It is absolutely fine to have 2-3 fog busters per 1 2week long map. It reveals ~40% of map, which is useful. Those advancements which "show you something" are trash which doesn't speed up your completion of the map. Better focus max joint strike, army camp/mercenary upgrades and draft if you click it often.

If that is 40% (2-3 uses per map) it is OK, but, with artifacts and daily income of one bonus, the fog buster income is 4-5 per week. I am forced to use them although I don't need them that much (already forfeited about 10 of them since start of Idle).

Initially fog buster revealed a percentage of the map, and on small maps it was quite weak. Later it was changed to 200 territories (I think), reduced to 150 more recently.
What we see is an inflation of fog buster powerups, due to the length of games. A map with 1500 territories can take up to a month of playing, half of which is conquering the last 10-15% of the map consisting of strongholds. So halfway into the map, fog busters become useless, since all the map is pretty much revealed at this point.
This favors the following strategy: start a game, fogbust the entire map (or until you run out of powerups), conquer the map giving priority to important territories, and stockpile fog busters in preparation for next level. I think this way the amount of discarded fogbusters will be smaller.

I think I'm the only one who doesn't like fog buster. It's like opening presents the week before Christmas. Haven't used once since the first map.

yup, it's just you. I could easily make use of double the fog busters (or double the effectiveness). it's unclear to me how people are getting so many they can't even use them.
