I am glad to say, that my boys, usa, will be playing in the world junior finals against Sweeden in ten hours.

This will be the first game I will watch from start to full. I hope this is a prelude to the men playing next week.

Also I hear there's a nice college football game on at the moment.

I was sceptical of the Van Persey signing, buy it seems he is the signing of the decade :). He has saved us on many an occasion.

Gilbert will be better than last year, winning two of the Ardennes classics. Boonen will do a lot less. I expect a lot from Cancellara this year as well as Sagan. And perhaps Vanmarcke will be able to win again in a Flemish classic. And for tdf, there will be a lot more climbing this year, which will be good for Contador, Froome but also both Schlecks. Further I expect two Belgians to go top 10. And perhaps a "surprise" in top five such as gallopin, pinot, rolland, roche or kreuziger. And van garderen will have his major breakthrough this year.

If you (1) Can't spell Van Persie and (2) Don't understand the difference between a winner and an equaliser,

why do you even care whether they win or lose? You obviously have no investment in the club. If they started losing games and began regularly finishing in mid-table, and ended up in a squad with no world-class players, I am sure that neither of you would continue to follow them. If, improbable though it is, they were relegated, you wouldn't care, because you simply would move on to another team.

Since you have no real loyalty to the club, there's nothing at stake for you, so any sense of sharing in their victory is an empty one.

Yeah, the pass was magnificent, and the control and finish were perfect. I enjoyed seeing it too. I just don't understand why you should be any more excited about it than I am. Because, really, it isn't amazing at all that a club with the greatest recent history other than perhaps Barcelona should be able to get a draw against West Ham.

It's far more amazing that Cardiff should be top of the Championship by 7 points, or that Swansea should be able to be so successful in the Premiership, and if you were actually a fan of your closest team, you would really be able to enjoy in their success, as well as being able to say 'hay vann pursey is rl gud i leiked it wehn eh did the goal'.

Team cohesion is so alchemical, it is impossible to say exactly why he doesn't perform within one team when he does in another.

Or maybe it's because he gets paid more domestically than internationally.

X, your accusations are baseless. I've supported Manchester United since I was a toddler, as have most of my family. If they went down, I would still follow them-I don't give up on Swansea City no matter what happens.

Swansea is almost 3 times as far away from me as Manchester-again, your accusation is way off the mark.

All I said about the game in question was that I was relieved when we got the equaliser. I agree that we should have won comfortably and I do think it was a better result. I thought out F.A. Cup dreams were over for the year and I was very relieved when we salvaged a replay. I didn't say anything about the result being amazing.
