These guys are probably worth blacklisting.

I'm not entirely sure what they think they get out of such games. My teammate didn't turn up, so they booted. I requested a vte, but apparently they wanted a cheap win.

How much time was taken between turns (very hard to tell from 1 turn history)?

Out of curiosity. Am I the only one that thinks if you take over the allotted time that you deserve to be booted? A large part of the game is about making decisions in an allotted amount of time. If you're unable to do so you're essentially "cheating" by not being booted. I see nothing wrong with an opponent not letting me "cheat".

I agree, but I usually allow one slippage on time. I don't have an issue if people boot when you are going over in real time. Otherwise some people might just stall and try to win that way.

@Chris I don't typically boot people, but, I wouldn't be mad if someone booted me, in my mind I chose to be booted by going over the time limit.

If 1 turn in a game I post in the chat that I have to run to the restroom, and then they boot me anyway i might be annoyed, but that's different to booting me if I just go silent and they assume I've quit.

If they doesn't say wait or some sort of things like that after the boot time limit, then i guess we have a reason to boot.

I do agree booting is within the rules of the game, but I totally DISagree on booting as being the right thing to do in such situations like in the game provided by OP. I strongly believe booting should be done only if the person is stalling just for the sake of annoying the other team or if he has gone away and is no longer in the game.. even then my decision to boot would consider if it's a temporary connection problem. It should not be used like that. And voting should be done here as this was obviously not a fair game after boot.

You may have a different point of view than me though.. It would mean you play warlight to look at your pretty polished stats, and not to have good time playing competitive games. After all warlight is a strategy game, not arcade.

[wm] it's cool just doesnt pay attention to the fact that o join a agme assuming that it will be fast and if it isnt it might be you who gets booted in the end because u may have to leave because u decided to wait for someone else... anyway, i would have voted if this happened this soon in the game

I think real time is a bit different than multi day. If someone takes an extra day or two in multi day, no big deal usually. But if someone is taking twice the time in RT, people don't have the time to get a game in sometimes. That isn't fair to those actually taking their turns on time.

Plus as was pointed out, part of RT games is having to make quick choices and if you are taking twice the time you are gaining a big advantage in strategy (because the person can't un-commit and change theirs without risk of the person booting them). There isn't any advantage gained by taking an extra day or two in multi, but in RT it does seem unfair.

Like I said I would ask and give them free pass first time, then you are out of luck.

What I find annoying in real-time games is when someone plays multiple of them at the same time. It slows down the game for everyone else in each of the games they are playing. I think anyone doing so is inconsiderate, far moreso than the person that boots them.
