I keep getting my @ss handed to me when I play Lvl 3. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I tried multiple starting positions, trying to blitz to get as much bonus as possible, growing slowly so I have a solid advance and every time an AI comes at me from 3-4 different locations with over 150 armies and destroys me. I do not see how this is possible, and I can't see how I can win this portion when the AI clearly has an advantage from the start. I beat lvl 1 and 2 pretty easy and I am really stumped on how to clear lvl 3. Any tips?

Yeah, if your having problems with level 3, you're either trolling or a moron. (Or both, they aren't mutually exclusive).

Skilgannon's a dink, but I have the same problem as him and I don't think that I am a troll or a moron.

In Single Level 3, I always wind up having the AI massing dozens of armies and wiping the floor with me.

I see that other people can beat that level in like 17 moves. Obviously there's a flaw in my strategy. What do I need to do to beat this?

I am getting frustrated and if I can't make any progress, I'm going to give up on what appears to be a promising game.

Luck. Try ten more times, finally AI will mess up, or appear somewhere else than you and you'll be free to wipe them out.

I've also probably tried this a dozen times and failed. I don't understand how AI gets so many armies so fast. I've tried a strategy of holding down a few continents (africa/antartica/austrailia) because they have few entry points, building each of the entry point positions up to around 40-50 while at the same time trying to penetrate other AI's territory with another (i call guerilla army) of around 30-40 to try and minimize the bonus they can get, but still - all of a sudden one of the AI teams will just whomp all over me with 100+ armies coming from 3-4 different points.

I don't see how it's possible, as I have nearly a whole third of the map already covered. I'm so frustrated.

Its really not that hard. I sit and wait strategy is about the worst thing you could do since the ais can build up huge stacks. I just played it again....the ais are super dumb and easy to destroy. If you can't be three non-teamed ais you probably won't do very well in multi-player. hah but challenge three is trey hard. I have gotten close but they always break me

you don't have to worry about ai teams til the crazy challange

and level 3 has much the same principle of the crazy challange

the main problems i could see noobs having, is identifying bonuses that are worth taking.. *being spoken via problems they have playing MP*
in this challange, starting in SAm-Ant-Aus-Canada-E.Rus-W.chin are generally bad spots.. doable depending on where your enemy starts.. but generally bad spots to start, as well as to expand, til you get a hefty income.

meaning if you start in Mexico, if you expand into Sam, then you're not doing things right.. you should head there, but more to get to Africa then for the 4 pt bonus.

also, those previously mentioned bonuses are great as AI break-ways.. a huge AI army will tend to attack single mindedly, and thus a large collection of relatively worthless territories are a great place for them to spindle away a couple of turns while you destroy their bonuses elsewhere
