what happens if the amount of wins is tied

I had a quick look on Wiki and it says:

In the event of a tie at the end of the tournament, the winner is decided by who won when the tied players played each other

so that makes sense if 2 people are tied but what happens in the event that 3 or more people are tied and you get the following scenario

Player A beats Player B
Player B beats Player C
Player C beats Player A

Does it just tie the game or is there another parameter that decides the winner

A winner is randomly selected. And then the winner can post it to his profile page for eternal glory.

thanks for the post but what am i looking at here? the Team L clearly won as they won all their games. there was no tie in that round robin

oh i see... you mean the battle between 6th 7th and 8th

yes it does look like it was random. Do you know for sure or could there have been some other reason for the positioning?

its just that i am planing to start a tournament with lots of small round robins and if this sort of thing is random then it could really mess things up

People are meant to post their FAVOURITE tournaments, not tournaments they'v got 1st 2nd 3rd or 4th in :p

Tournament between a few of my friends, we all won 2 matches and lost 2, somehow I came last. I am unsure whether it depends on who you lost against or not.

@pulsey tournaments you do win in could be your favourites(screw your spelling google auto-correct this is britain their is a u in favourite).

Random doesn't seem like a great method.

I suppose you could add your own criteria in a CLOT though for breaking ties.

i once got a third place for no reason at all :( i got quite mad because when ppl looked at it they said: oh! the first 2 guys got tied.... but they just ignored me and i had the same amount of victories as they did, i cried for a week ro two, then i my mummy gave me a new puppy and i went crayz, the world was shining, the rain stopped, the rainbow came... but then i killed my puppy, and life became boring once again, now im on heroine, its not amazing, but it kills time

basically whenever there's a 3 way tie i'll invariably finish last >.<
