Stop stalling and develop some skill. Every single ladder staller including good ones like timinator and gnuffone are shit. You are tragic little ego monsters, everyone knows and deep down they judge you. Salvage some integrity by apologising, and take your rightful place in the top ten with pride.

WG people don't stall. They make legit ladder runs. I don't like stalling myself, though i am not sure i would go as far as you on bashing them either :)

Maybe bashing them is the way to go. If we want the first rank to have a meaning and can't change the system, we have to change the acceptance to stalling.

Wow, why be a dick to me Good Kid? We had this discussion about marc a few weeks ago and I looked at a bunch of his ladder games and did not find ANY stalling. I obviously did not look at this section of games, and clearly he stalled a few games. Do you expect me to review EVERY game of EVERY player in my clan to check for it?

nich i don't consider that as stalling. maybe the last 2 turns wet a bit long but stalling is more for me.

There are more blatant less recent examples but this was right there waiting.

Taking max time for a couple turns is not stalling for me. That person might be just busy. I consider stalling to be taking max time or close to it for many turns when you already know the game is lost. Clearly marc did that in the 3 above.

Stalling like most things is not a binary yes-no sort of thing. That game that nich posted has some stalling, but of course it is not nearly as bad as one in which a lost game is stalled for weeks. I've definitely played some games where I was behind and took a few turns slowly because I didn't want to admit to myself that the game was over, but I do that as much in tournaments as in the ladder, and obviously stalling in a tournament doesn't help you any.

I have also observed that it's not all that enjoyable to be in that situation, since it increases the amount of time I spend thinking about games in which I'm playing poorly, when it's much more enjoyable to think about games in which I am playing well :P

Why couldn't he simply point out the games he posted as say something like "what do you call these?" Then I could have simply said, you are right, I never saw those. Instead he decided to call me both an idiot, and full of shit without even waiting for me to respond to his evidence.
