I added 2 new features: delaying players search, and top delayers

You can use this search to see how often given players are having the last turn in combat. You would expect to have 50% first turns and 50% of the last turns in combat, but since the last turn is usually crucial skilled players are delaying their orders to have it.

You can also go to top delayers and use filters to see different views - go to 'Data' (on the top bar) -> 'Filter views'. If you have any other ideas for the filters let me know.

Top 30 delayers based the on last 500 turns played (rating over 2000+)

Top 30 delayers over all (played over 1000 turns)

I added a new feature - 'first turn analysis' which is an analysis of the first turn if you see an opponent

You can see everyone's results in the sheet, it can be useful next time in a game you see your opponent in right away.

The table presents players with a rating of 2200+ and had more than 30 games in this scenario. You can see that even top players vary in their style:

alhazi- will attack you with 1 army 46% of the time
Beep Beep Im A Jeep - will attack you with 7+ armies 43% of the time
DrApe - if attacks with 7+ armies does it allows in the first move
Equivoque - doesn't do anything and stays still 35% of the time
Jefferspin - defends with 6+ armies but doesn't attack 89% of the time
doca - runs away 26% of the time

Memorable mentions (from all players that played over 30 games in this scenario)

Do not deploy any armies on the connected territory:
88.9% - [NL] Sander
Attack opponent with only 1 (tap):
71% - x
Attack opponent with 2-6 armies:
38.6% - Wiredawg
Attack opponent with 7+ armies:
68.4% - TheThedde
Stayed still with 4 armies:
88.9% - [NL] Sander
Stayed still with 5 armies:
33.7% - Squibbles
Stayed still with 6+ armies:
89.2% - Jeferspin
Runaway:
92.3% - Captain Trip

I added a new feature - 'income over time' which is an analysis of average income on each turn

It's pretty interesting as top players have a higher income than average only on turn 3,4 and 5. I see 2 explanations:
1. top players know their early combos (but they don't play first turn compo as it's too easy to counter)
2. top players play against other top players so after few turns they usually meet and focus on taking each other bonuses

Just a reminder that all data from this thread can be seen for any player, you just need to go to the sheet and enter a player ID.

Pretty cool that you found it useful! I just checked your data for the income over time and I can see that you really like the first turn bonus and after that, your income grows a little bit slower. You could maybe try to experiment with continuous expansion and second turn bonuses and see how do you like the result of this tactic.

I added a new feature - 'territories over time' which is an analogous analysis to the income one

Top-rated players have a higher income than average on turn 3,4,5 but not the number of territories. That can reveal that smart expansion is superior as every army counts in the early game.

And the last feature in this series - 'avg controlled armies per turn'

Here we should look closely at the standard deviation e.g. games for +2000 are way closer than games for <1500 players.

Sorry for spamming but I added yet another feature that combines all 3 previous one's territories/income/armies in one

Now you can try to find some patterns between those 3 data points for each turn. E.g.: Timinator might be lower than avg on a number of territories and income in the first few turns but he is a leader in the army's management.

This is awesome
One thing regarding the top players not having an income advantage after turn 5 - it could be because of adverse selection. If a top player has a game that is stretching out it is likely much closer than the games they win and clean up quickly (eg with a good counter / breaking the enemy's first or second bonus)

so the avg: income, territory, and army depend on the opponent you are against. So +2000 players play with other +2000 players so there are more variables you should take into account.

I added another feature avg number of territories on which income is distributed per income - idea from Beep Beep I'm A Jeep

So here you can see who likes to stack armies and you tell that Beep is pretty good at it. To see how stacking armies can help I'll add a game that I lost against Beep - https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=25444958

I added another feature % of moves from one territory that you own to another one from all moves

You can see that with time and rank, you might have more such moves (as probably here are all the movements of 1's to the front lines)

I added another feature - % of using Transfer Only/ Attack Only/ Attack by % - idea from Derfellios and Beep Beep I'm A Jeep

So this is pretty interesting, as I never used them myself. So I learned something valuable here. As you can see only top players use it. I will pass forward the examples I got from Beep:

https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=24877276 - turn 8, if Beep wouldn't use the transfer-only, he would run into Rufus stack
https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?GameID=24116803 - turn 5, Rufus did attack-only

Thanks for doing that last analysis (and for all the other ones), _!

Unsurprising to see chokepoints at the top, but now we have some measures of relative value among them. I'm surprised to see Hawaii above Alaska. Anyone else see surprises in those last two lists?
