I assume this is one person playing on 3 puppet accounts at the same time. Its a cool idea for those of us who like the complexity of team games but dont like teammates. I think having more than 1 person on a team is a weakness, if not why wouldn't you play 1v1s with a few people on one team chatting and coming to a consensus?
This isnt really cheating =/
I mean , what if he doesn't trust others in a team :P
Having 3 players , all controlled by him ,in one team means a complete idea of what he does and shit , no relying on other human brains lol :P
I say he's playing smart , also that link you gave (the first one) , team B's dude booted his team mates and then surrendered , now the thing would be different if the guy who booted and surrendered turns out to be another one of tropico's accounts
I'm not standing up for that guy , I just think that there's nothing wrong with not trusting others in your team and...eventually...not having themm. lol
Bah , go ahead feel free to harass me for what I just said , but it is what I think lol
X - I would not consider this cheating. Controlling a few accounts playing in ONE team does not give him advantage. actually it is really a burden, since he has to keep up with the timer while doing three times as many orders as "regular" player..
You may say he doesn't need complex chatter with teammates, but playing teammates you know well or playing while talking on skype simplifies communications to minimum as well and the price of having to little time while multiaccounting makes a big difference in favor of the "regular" team..
Ironheart - As for the rules - it's all down to interpretation in that matter I guess - you might consider it a violation of the commandment "Thou shall not use thy alt in a way that gives thee advantage over other players in a game", as it does give you advantage of not needing to communicate in teamchat in order to achieve perfect understanding and synergy between teammates, but as i said earlier, playing roles of more than one player in teamgames is rather disadvantageous anyway so i would not interpret such behavior as a violation of this rule.
Totally different story if it would be used in a ffa or in opposing teams as those are obviously violations.
