Hello,

I was wondering if there are any Starcraft 2 players around. I only started playing WoL, finished the campaign in a couple of days, currently I played some ranked 2v2 games only and go thorugh campaing on brutal (which seems a bit too easy to be honest). Anyway I'm thinking SC II has the most fluent gameplay out of any competetive rts's i've played. Anyone interested to play some games/discuss strategies?

I have it, have not played it in a while because I got Diablo 3 (not a strategy game, but fun).

I have SC2 and the expansion though. I'll play with you. I will send you my profile via mail on here and I will try and get on this weekend (most likely tonight, which will be about 7 hours from now or so).

And yes, the campaign is no challenge. The only challenge is dialing up the difficulty and still trying to get all the achievements. Winning the missions are not hard.

Heart of the Swarm is pretty cool, I like that campaign better. I haven't played on the ladder since I got the expansion though, so I am not up to date on the new units and how they play there.

Never heard of it, but willing to try it out. Is it on steam?

Games I fairly oftern play, if anyone's interested. I mostly play using Steam (recommend it):

-Mount and Blade: Warband (Though it is getting old, its still a very fun historical FP, especially the Napoleonic wars mod. Joining up with regiments is even more fun)
-Stronghold Kingdoms (Real time and multi-day. It's a medieval strategic game. Very realistic "If you were a lord" type game. Building castles, villages etc.)

When i have time not playing them...

-Total war series (I have basically all total war games, still very good advanced strategy. Real time battles. Building up your faction basically.)
-Skyrim (Both PC and PS3)
-Mafia 2 (PS3, had to buy all DLC'd because I loved it)
-Fifa (PS3)
-Assasins Creed series (PS3)

I'm really want to try out the forest, potentially a great game.

For anyone with a mouse and browser, head to Kongregate to play the Verdun beta! Yes it's not the most finessed games, but it's free and awesome :)

No Apollo. Blizzard controls their games pretty tight. You can't even sell profiles. But the game is probably 30 bucks now

It is an awesome game though and worth it

30 bucks? Try free. The base game anyway, is completely free to download and play, both online and in single-player. It's not quite the entire experience, but it's plenty to get a taste for the game.

Just played my first game in like a year. Dominated the AI, but not saying much. Only 30 APM's, I am quite slow right now and rusty.

Anyone else play?

In 4 hours (8 p.m. Poland time) I'll log in, ideally I could host some unranked 2v2,3v3 games between players or maybe coop vs AI on higher level. I'm not sure how bad the lag would be if we come from different regions though.

OK, I this this is the solution to playing together:

https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/global-play

Looks like you can only play people in your current region, but can switch regions. So if you had 5 people from Europe, I could change my region to Europe and play with you guys (all my Americas friends would not appear until I switch back).

Anyway, if we can find more people to play we should set up a game.

I used to be good at SC2, but I stopped playing because I got too busy (and you can't just pause!)

All the more reason to play some casual games. I got bored with the ladder BS and played lots of Hero Attack on SC2.

A good way to beat noobs is Void Rays. Especially since they do more damage over time so you don't need to really focus fire all the time.

I also like to get fast Marauders (with Marines) and stim pack. You can trash people early with that and noobs try and run (stim pack increases movement speed along with attack speed, so you run them down)

Also, noobs don't have detectors a lot of times (to see cloaked guys), so you can often sneak some dark templars in a pack of zealots and they will never know you have them (or sneak them in their town and take out their workers). Taking out workers is huge in SC2. That is why Void Rays are so good. You can make light defense early (with a few zealots and a sentry) and then crank out Rays. Send 1 or 2 in right away and back door their workers. You can take out 4 or 5 easy which slows them down a lot and then you can hit when you have 6-8 rays. You can also target their supply easy as well with Rays.
