Now I've gotten recipes where I didn't have one of the ores, but never have I been missing all three. Got this 2 days ago and several mines since and still am missing all 3.

Use Fog Busters if you have any :D I usually take the path of going for territories which have the least bonus income. Like 1-2-4-10-40-200-500-1k-3k-19k-50k etc
Usually catching all possible kinds of army camps, mines, hospitals, works fine :D

I've had that before. anymore, I am very selective in capturing recipes, I skip them unless I'm pretty sure I'll be able/ready to start using them, or if they're part of some killer bonus.
