This isn't exactly on topic, but I've got some games that fit the theme:
I play a lot of diplos, and something that often happens is the game drags on for months and people just quit. Sometimes they don't even bother surrendering and are kicked by the auto-boot. Sometimes there is no auto-boot, and they're kicked by the other players. And sometimes, there is no auto-boot, but none of the players want to kick anyone either.

Have you ever wondered how long such a situation can drag on? 100 days? A year? Forever? Let's find out:


First something simple. On turn 55 of this game, the host didn't bother taking their turn for 59 days until another player got fed up and kicked them:

In this game, no one wanted to do a manual boot. However, the automatic boot time was set to "never." Did the turn last forever? No. Turn 62 of this game lasted 136 days before, for whatever reason, the system kicked the player. However, going that many days without a turn, even more players lost interest. Turn 63 lasted 115 days before two more players were auto-booted. No one got booted on turn 64, but it went on for almost two months (roughly 50 days) before two players surrendered:

Finally, this was a game I put on with my irl friends. It went on for a while until one of them got bored, and soon enough they all quit. But of course, I would never boot my friends. So what happened? Turn 22 lasted 169 days before someone got booted. Turn 23 lasted 191 days until boot. Then my last two friends got booted on Turn 24 after 115 days. That's three consecutive turns of this nonsense lasting over a year:
