We've got 27 predictions so far (23 for A, 16 each for B and C, and 12 for D). The crowd is pretty sure about A & D and much less sure about B & C. Below are the current consensus predictions for each Division, with predictions taken at face value, with the visualizations from
https://bit.ly/cl14-predictions. Any outcome that crosses one of the lines below (e.g., Python not making it on the podium) should be considered an upset, and outcomes that cross thicker lines (e.g., HAWKS placing 4th) major upsets.
This is all aggregated mainly for posterity, so that future Clan League archivists can look at one post to gauge how people thought CL 14 would go. Then they can laugh at us for getting it so wrong.
Division AContenders: MASTER vs. ONE! vs. Python / SNinja
MASTER,
ONE!, and
Python are competing for the podium and will most likely split it among themselves. The crowd is
very sure MASTER will finish somewhere around 2nd place and every prediction but Ocean's has them finishing on the podium. They're least certain about Python, which is more of a wildcard: they have the most first-place predictions but also 7 non-podium predictions.
SNinja is right behind these 3 contenders, with an outside chance of making it on the podium.
Underdogs: FCC / HAWKS vs. GG
There's a big separation in expectations after SNinja, with
FCC in a league of its own. 15 people have predicted FCC to finish 5th in A: that's more than any other clan for any other position in CL 14.
With another big drop,
HAWKS and
GG are in a battle for 6th.
Division BContenders: French vs. M'Hunters vs. WG
The top of B is a 3-horse race between the
French Community,
M'Hunters, and
WG, with FC and M'Hunters seen as the favorites to promote.
Underdogs: Lu Fredd / 101st vs. Blitz / VIW
The lower half of B has a lot more division to it:
Lu Fredd is separated from above and below and, of anything in B, the crowd is most sure that Lu Fredd will finish somewhere around 4th. Just a half-step below are
101st and
Blitz fighting a relegation battle, with Blitz seen as more of a wild card.
At the very bottom is
VIW, another half-step below Blitz and mainly predicted to place 7th.
Division CContenders: TSFH / CORP / Statisticians vs. Polish Eagles vs. Discovery
The top of C is not super-exciting, with some separation between
TSFH and
CORP. There's a lot of variance in predictions for this division, though, so we may get a real nail-biter battle for first or promotion.
Right below CORP is where the most likely excitement happens:
Statisticians,
Polish Eagles, and
Discovery are relative wild cards that the crowd doesn't know how to sort; the crowd is especially unsure about Polish Eagles. Could one of these 3 displace CORP/TSFH from promotion? Could this group steal both promotion slots? C is a wild card and should be exciting to watch!
Underdogs: TLA vs. BIA
In a sad pit at the bottom of C, we find
TLA and
BIA, both of whom the crowd expects to relegate and puts far behind the contenders. Both clans have something to prove, though! Can either stave off relegation? TLA is a wild card- in fact, BIA is the only real non-wild-card in the division. Division C has the most confused predictions of any division.
Division DContenders: Vikinger / Varangian Guard
We return back from the excitement of B and C to find the division that the crowd is most sure about. Almost every prediction has
Vikinger taking first and
Varangian Guard second. Simple as.
Underdogs: The Boiz Army vs. Hodopian Dynasty
A big step below the promotion battle, we find
The Boiz Army- who debuted last season- competing against this season's exciting new debut, the
Hodopian Dynasty, for 3rd place. The crowd considers both evenly matched but is predictably less sure about Hodopian Dynasty and gives The Boiz Army a slight benefit of the doubt.
Double Underdogs: Saber-Rattlers vs. USSR / IL LABORATORIO
Take another big step and you find the bottom of Division D, the only division the crowd cleanly splits into 3. The
Saber-Rattlers and long-considered-anemic
USSR are locked into a battle for 5th, with the crowd giving Saber-Rattlers are a slight edge due to being more of a wild card.
Finally, take a last half-step down and you'll find the new, mysterious
IL LABORATORIO. Weirdly enough for a debut, the crowd is
very sure about them: all predictions have them in the bottom 3 spots.
