Just got it myself, thanks for the tip. It works pretty well (just gotta be a little slow with your clicks because it tends to reformat your screen each time it loads a page). Can't see myself using on the phone unless I absolutely have to because of that, but I will give it a try on the ipad later, that should be much better.

Thank you TIM :) Although it lags a lot, it is still better than nothing. Found out how to chat however.

There is a little button with three stripes on the bottom bar, next to the arrows (most general information I can give). Press it and a few buttons pop up. Select the "toggle keyboard" button and the keyboard will appear. Now, all you have to do is to go to the chat button and press where you want to chat (team or public) and use the toggled keyboard to type.

Hope this helps.

it is painful on maps like big usa or big world but works fine for smaller maps. also it is very hard to pan on it (have to use trackpad button bottom left). it would help a lot if warlight had scroll bars on every page (it only has them on orders window and players window)

yes but I found that if you are playing a large map, just click on the right panel where the orders are and it lets you zoom in further and with better quality. Thne you have to sort of switch around to service all your spots if you are spread out.

I tried this on apple tv streaming from my iphone today and it was actually really nice.
Although when I am home I don't really need to use my iphone but it was fun to try it. I am just enjoying the fact that I can run flash at all on my apple products.

Why do people even get iphone's anyway ?? Samsung III Galaxy is much better and more user friendly.

If people would just realize that and make it clear to Apple that making phones which do not support free sharing and use of applications such as possible with android will not be profitable, maybe (just maybe) Apple will realize they'll finally need to come with a phone which sells on quality.

I can assure you I have no stocks in any Samsung company though. It's just my personal grievances with using apple products which made me so opposed to their crappy products :)

I had a droid. it locked up all the time (I had 3 other family members with other droids and they did too). Battery life sucked too. All the apps were worse quality than iphone ones too (content wise).

Those things might be much better now, but I had bad experience with that.

It has been a couple years since I had my droid, so perhaps you can enlighten me. Can you import itunes songs and movies (without too many work arounds)? We have quite a bit on the ipad that I would want to move over.

My brother in law has the galaxy 3 and there seem to be a lot of times he has issues with apps not working. That might be more the app than the actual phone.

I don't care for apple overall (everything is on lockdown and no flexibility), but I couldn't stand the constant crashing. Everything works on my 4s, even if I can't move media files from other sources without a major pain.

Anyway, I'd consider going back to droid I just haven't really looked into it because I am in my two year contract on my 4s.

I read a few more comparisons from each side. I must say not being able to attach any type of file/share using any service is annoying. But the iPhone is more stable, gets better battery life, apps are always updated, the software is upgraded for all phones (Android users get left behind), and Siri works like a charm to shortcut things.

I'll probably stick with my iPhone for another year and see if Apple changes some of the lack of flexibility with sharing files or not.

Plus Android is dumping Flash too from what I saw.

That's not true. I have an old iPhone that can't install iOS 4 and my iPad can't install iOS 6. All of your Apple devices will eventually be left behind just like Android ones will.

iPhone is more stable, gets better battery life

My Nexus One Android phone is 3 years old, perfectly stable, and the battery still lasts over 48 hours. Not all Android phones are created equal, so you shouldn't compare them as a whole.

If you're going to make a fair comparison, you should compare phones of similar prices. There's a big difference between an iPhone that someone paid $1000 for to an Android phone that was free with a contract. (And yes, I was shocked to learn people pay over $1000 for an iPhone even when signing a two-year contract. I recently accompanied a friend who did just that.)

Assuming you're limited by money as most of us are, you should compare them to the higher-end phones if you're just trying to compare the merits of the operating system. Compare it to a Nexus 4, for example.

Who pays $1000 bucks for a phone (I'd like to see the invoice for that one)? I paid $300 for my 32 GB 4s (with new contract) when they came out. Supposedly there will be a 128GB one, I'm sure that will cost a ton. At any rate, I think comparing iphone 5 to galaxy 3 is fair comparison.

As I mentioned, stability has probably improved a lot. But also as I said my brother in law has a Galaxy 3 and I hear "this usually works" all the time when he's trying to show me something.

And yes, many blogs said apps are not updated on android like they are for apple. My ipad has 6.1 on it and so does my phone. Both are only 1 generation old, but usually you can update them a few generations back.

And most blogs also said many of the android devices (specifically LTE ones) suck battery life. They only boast an 8 hour life. I have yet to run out of battery on my 4s unless I go days without charging it (and I use it most of the day). Your phone is probably not sucking life on 4G LTE I would guess.

Anyway, I'm not trying to convince anyone to buy an iphone. I might not now if I didn't have all the apps and movies already on there (plus easy integration with wife's iphone, the ipad, photo steaming to PC [non-apple], etc). But I do have a lot invested in that integration that makes it not worth me switching at this point.

I'll probably just buy the puffin browser until the WL app is ready for iphone.

Photos are a huge plus for me too. I have two kids under 3, so photo stream and the superior image quality of the camera/display are important to me.

I'm sure versatility of androids trump that for other people. Not everyone has the same needs from their phone.

I was meerly trying to answer the question originally asked of why anyone would have an iphone at this point. Because it isn't cut and dry either way.

That is a good breakdown, but where are they getting those prices? A 16GB iPhone 5 is $199 with plan, a 16GB S3 is $299 with plan. That seemed to be their final tipping point too was the cost. They said it was a draw before factoring that in.

The accessories cannot be a draw either. That is one place apple is way ahead. There is tons of add on crap for iPhones. Maybe they only meant included ones, which would make sense why they said that.

Also, it doesn't even mention the cloud/photo stream in the connectivity section...one of the few sections it gave the S3 a win.

So basically that said it was dead even, which I agree with. Just depends on what comparisons in there are more important to you.
