If you look at my games, I have 92 unexpired at the moment, and have a 68% win rate. I think my ranking is one of the most accurate on the ladder because you can see, nearly all players rank below me I beat, nearly all the time. Nearly all players ranked above me I lose to, nearly all the time. When you get up into the top 10 and such the rankings get really hazy since skill level is so near.

In my case, when my rank goes down, you can see I immediately have a win streak of 5+ games. When it goes up, I have a long loss streak until I balance out again in a comfortable zone. Would anyone be able to tell me then why mine can stay (what I feel is) one of the most accurate rankings on the ladder?

The top 10 players move up and down around each other, but usually never fall out of the top 10. I fluctuate within about 4 rankings (usually). Of course this is dependent on people joining and leaving the ladder.

Lolo: I can't speak to 1 v 1 ladder much, but if you would check out mine and Nord's
2 v 2 ladder stats, you'd see that not necesairly win ratio goes towards 75%. We have 2nd most counting games (after Mike and unkown).

I'm curious as to whether anyone has completed over 100 games counting toward their ladder rating and won above 80% of those games.

I dont think many people approach 100 unexpired games. If you include expired games, in my most recent 100 games I won 80(%). I had a look around and I think I might be the only one.

HHH has a 75% win rate against a worse pool of players. My point was always that he very rarely beats top players and doesnt play like one, yet is treated like one.

I think looking at the win rate is misleading, as is looking at the rating in a lot of cases. If you want to know how good someone is, take a look at their last 10 games, and see how they picked and played not the statistics.

@Gui, increasing my ladder games is the opposite of what I would want... Ideally someone new would take #1 spot from me so I can quit, for now I am not interested in trying to see the extents of boredom the ladder may provide playing 5 games at a time.

I know the feeling. When I first got to #1 I just wanted to hold it until Zibik got to first. But he took a year instead of a month.

I dont have a problem with him. He doesnt talk much, so I dont really know him, Im sure hes lovely. The people who disagree with me are lolowut, sze and the chameleon so I will fight with them =D
