Well it turns out that Frank has wanted to abolish the extra tournament tiebreaker thing anyway, with a tiebreaker of his own design. I kinda forgot about it actually, since the last time it was applied was 2 seasons ago. Both group I's had a tie for 2nd place and in both groups only 2 of the 3 in the tie got promoted. Here's how I resolved it and will continue to do so in the future.
I looked at the players they beat outside the tie, so in group I1 it's:
Bananashake: 5th - 6th - 7th Master Bjarke: 5th - 6th - 7th Swimming Potato: 1st - 6th - 7th
I add all of them together and the player with the lowest score win. The Swimming Potato therefor gets number 2 spot since he beat the number 1,6 and 7 (= 14) which is better that 5, 6 and 7 (= 18). Bananashake and Master Bjarke are still tied though so I looked their result against eachother, Master Bjarke beat Bananashake so gets 3th and Bananashake 4th.
I2 tiebreaker was resolved in the same way:
125ch206: 5th - 6th - 7th Master of Desaster: 5th - 6th - 7th Bigchps147: 1st - 6th - 7th
Master of Desaster won against 125ch206, so gets 3th See http://warlight.net/Forum/Thread?ThreadID=30139&Offset=20 for original post

That rule favours losing to poor players and beating good players rather than beating poor players and losing to good players. It seems kinda arbitrary rather than sorting by skill.

I think the rule is ok, given the same number of victories, the one that beat players that finished in the first positions will pass. It makes the theoretically more difficult victories more valueable than the others.
And about the game... right now i just play tournaments because i dont have much time, but ill take into account that offer once i can play more often :P

I'm killing time so here's another update.
GROUP A Frankdeslimste (4-1) Miyagi (4-2) grona (4-2) Ineffable (4-2) timon92 (3-2) Widzisz (1-5) - Inactive Old Surehand (0-6) - Inactive
WHAAAA. We could literally have a 5 way tie atop group A!! With all players tied 2-2 head to head. Frank's tiebreaker wouldn't work in this scenario. I wonder what we'd do in that case? Meanwhile I'm labeling both Widzisz and Old Surehand inactive due to booting half their games... if either player wants to participate next season, they should reply in this thread to let us know they're still kicking.
GROUP B Krzychu (4-0) Tenshi (4-1) Heyheuhei (1-0) marc2013 (2-2) - leaving warlight Pushover (2-3) Mirror (1-3) Niko (0-5)
OHMYGOSH! HHH actually completed a game! And I might just barely avoid relegation :x
GROUP C FlyingBender (4-1) - WINNER Orange (3-2) Metatron (2-2) JV (2-3) Marechal Lannes (2-3) his balls (1-3)
Congrats to FlyingBender for winning group C! Orange takes second place on a potential tiebreaker with Metatron.
GROUP D tartan1314 (6-0) - WINNER Timinator (3-2) Falker (3-2) wakaranai (3-3) Andersault (2-3) Riyamitie (0-3) ferede (0-4)
And tartan does win the group by going undefeated! With the dropouts in the groups above, Tartan will certainly be playing group B next season. And yet another player I have to worry about assuming I avoid relegation ^^;
GROUP E - FINISHED Jefferspin (4-0) - WINNER kevin#1 (3-1) Apollo (2-2) - Leaving the League querulant (1-3) - Inactive Lolowut (0-4) - Inactive
(I'll keep the finished groups in each post from now on cause it helps me to organize the next season, assuming Frank lets me do it again...)
GROUP F master of desaster (4-1) - WINNER Beren Erchamion (3-2) Bjarke (3-2) rocky1 (2-3) Min34 (1-3) - Leaving the League Mycroft (1-3)
Beren Erchamion wins the tiebreaker to take second, meanwhile Min34 and Mycroft fight to avoid last place.
GROUP G - FINISHED Bigchps147 (4-1) - WINNER dwoogee (4-1) bobbob000 (3-2) JSA (2-3) - Leaving the league CheeryDog (2-3) CharlieBrown (0-5) - Inactive
Nothing much changed since the last update, except the group finishing
GROUP H - FINISHED GeneralGror (5-0) - WINNER Darkpie (4-1) ARand0mPlayer (2-3) Kasparov (2-3) The Turtle (2-3) Vortex (0-5)
Frank's tiebreaker does not resolve the tie for third place. We'll probably just work around it in making next season's groups. Or come up with a third level of tiebreaking~
GROUP I1 - FINISHED Jackie Treehorn (5-1) - WINNER HeadlessChicken (4-2) - Leaving the League Polakillo (4-2) aper (4-2) smileyleg (3-3) TheJakiller (1-5) The National Socialist (Lawlz) (0-6)
The tiebreaker for 2nd place goes as follows:
Headless Chicken - 1st, 6th, 7th aper - 5th, 6th, 7th Polakillo - 5th, 6th, 7th
Therefore Headless Chicken snags 2nd place! Hey Chicken if you change your mind about quitting you better say so in this thread!
GROUP I2 Master ARC (5-1) - WINNER Master Atom (4-2) ChrisCMU (3-2) BlacKnight (3-3) ChristophU (3-3) Silver (2-3) Weisblutt (0-6) - Inactive
Grats to ARC for winning the group! Is it just me or is he playing a lot better since returning to warlight from his long hiatus?

Time for an update...
GROUP A - FINISHED Frankdeslimste (4-2, 2-2) - unbreakable tie Miyagi (4-2, 2-2) - unbreakable tie grona (4-2, 2-2) - unbreakable tie Ineffable (4-2, 2-2) - unbreakable tie timon92 (4-2, 2-2) - unbreakable tie Widzisz (1-5) - Inactive Old Surehand (0-6)
Group A has finished with a 5 way unbreakable tie for first place!! Frank has stated that since the tie doesn't affect relegations, he could live with keeping the tie. But maybe I lightly troll him by creating a "tiebreaker" tourney anyway XD
GROUP B Krzychu (4-1) Tenshi (4-1) Heyheuhei (1-0) Mirror (3-3) marc2013 (2-3) - leaving warlight Pushover (2-3) Niko (0-5)
This group still being held up by HHH's vaations, but two very important results happened... Mirror won his last two games against Krzychu and marc. NOT GOOD FOR ME arghghghh. The two players in A who are leaving the league *might* mean I stay in B but that depends on Frank really, I'm not impartial enough to make that decision :x I could really use a win against HHH should he choose to actually play...
GROUP C - FINISHED FlyingBender (4-1) - WINNER Orange (3-2, 1-0) Metatron (3-2, 0-1) JV (2-3, 1-0) Marechal Lannes (2-3, 0-1) his balls (1-4)
Metatron's win over his balls ensures that his balls will get relegated... very unexpected that we see him in group D next season. GG clan takes 3 of the top 4 spots.
GROUP D tartan1314 (6-0) - WINNER Falker (4-2) Timinator (3-2) wakaranai (3-3) - Leaving the league Andersault (2-4) ferede (1-4) Riyamitie (1-5)
We are waiting on one remaining game between Timinator and ferede. The result doesn't matter for ferede; the bottom 3 spots of this group are already decided due to tiebreakers. But for Timinator, a win could get him 2nd place and a loss drops him to 4th. Could be the difference between promoting and not.
GROUP E - FINISHED Jefferspin (4-0) - WINNER kevin#1 (3-1) Apollo (2-2) - Leaving the League querulant (1-3) - Inactive Lolowut (0-4) - Inactive
GROUP F master of desaster (4-1) - WINNER Beren Erchamion (3-2, 1-0) Bjarke (3-2, 0-1) rocky1 (2-3) Min34 (1-3) - Leaving the League Mycroft (1-3)
Mycroft and Min34's fight for last continues into turn 14.
GROUP G - FINISHED Bigchps147 (4-1, 1-0) - WINNER dwoogee (4-1, 0-1) bobbob000 (3-2) JSA (2-3, 1-0) - Leaving the league CheeryDog (2-3, 0-1) CharlieBrown (0-5) - Inactive
GROUP H - FINISHED GeneralGror (5-0) - WINNER Darkpie (4-1) ARand0mPlayer (2-3, 1-1) - unbreakable tie Kasparov (2-3, 1-1) - unbreakable tie The Turtle (2-3, 1-1) - unbreakable tie Vortex (0-5)
GROUP I1 - FINISHED Jackie Treehorn (5-1) - WINNER HeadlessChicken (4-2, 1-1, 14) - Leaving the League Polakillo (4-2, 1-1, 18, 1-0) aper (4-2, 1-1, 18, 0-1) smileyleg (3-3) TheJakiller (1-5) The National Socialist (Lawlz) (0-6)
GROUP I2 - FINISHED Master ARC (5-1) - WINNER ChrisCMU (4-2, 1-0) Master Atom (4-2, 0-1) BlacKnight (3-3, 1-0) ChristophU (3-3, 0-1) Silver (2-4) Weisblutt (0-6) - Inactive
ChrisCMU's recovery after an early loss to Christoph earns him a second place finish.

Other than just two games, one each in groups D and F, the league is being held up due to HHH taking back to back to... at least a half dozen vacations. If he continues to hold up the league even after groups D and F finish, I'll have to talk to Frank about maybe disqualifying him :/
But I hope it won't come down to that.

Okay maybe soon but don't blame me if you have to play season 14 tiebreaker and season 15 concurrently XD
(Also for group A isn't Season 15 basically a tiebreaker anyway?)

Darkpie, the rules are posted on page 1 of this thread.
"Currently, the model is to typically have the top two promote and the bottom two relegate but there are exceptions. Where there is default – a player becoming inactive or asking to bow out of the league – there can be more promotions to fill in the vacancy. Where this happens in several groups there can be a lot of shuffling. The principle, though, is to usually have at least one player from each group relegated. Several retirements mean fewer relegations and more super-promotions to keep the groups filled."
