Rise of Rome 1v1 or Fight of Europa 2v2

Clan Wars currently does not support FFAs.

Now that would be pretty interesting if this is ever added in the future!

This could potentially open up a new variety entirely ... 5-10 clans joining an FFA template, perhaps 1 giant game worth 5 wins? Could only allow 1 player from each clan of course.

I do wonder how many people would join it though, since your win ratio would naturally go down as is normal for an FFA, and thus not strategic to join them.

Maybe instead of being 1 option in the templates of otherwise 1v1's, there could be a handful of special event CW FFAs throughout a given season.

+1 to rak/AI, those templates would be very helpful;

If you add FFA, you run into issues with people colluding , arguments over that, and with 5 clans, you can have a pretty big rating gap between players. Also, updating the ELO will be interesting with more than 2 clans per game

Adding FFA doesn’t make sense to me. How many wins does the first placed person get in 4FFA? 3 wins or just a single win and no one else gets a win? There’s too many questions for a FFA to work.

That's a solved problem. The rest I do agree with though.

quick to read (picks) MTL templates in general + 2 INSS maps only to test (biomes + elitist africa probably)

3v3 can be an invitation for free win attempts on some time slots.

There are lots of templates that could be added, IMO these 4 are the creme of the crop:

Biomes of America: Best INSS template, tested on QM

French Brawl: One of the best templates on the site, tested on QM

Guiroma: Strategic template that is relatively friendly to newer players, tested on QM

Strat ME: Old ladder template that is generally considered best WR template, tested on QM

I believe almost all the idle arena templates are on the MME, SE or FE maps. Part of the appeal of warzone is all the different maps, and having some non world maps may stimulate interest by idle players. In fact I was recommended to warzone by a friend who first found it by searching "online risk on different maps." Three of the four suggestions above are on non-world maps.

Strat ME, and Guiroma would be great.

Lot of good suggestions here! If you are only adding a couple, there is very good list already on the 4th post, which includes mostly the same maps as MTL favorites suggested by many.

Since its RT, I think templates with no fog or light fog are slightly better than for MD (FB, all MA templates, Alex's fogless fighting etc.).

Increasing boot time to 3 minutes is a must. I have nothing more to add, all the good templates have been mentioned. If anything, I would avoid those who are hard to read for picks quickly, e. g. French Brawl or Strat Greece.

I'd like to suggest that templates that are too similar shouldn't be able to be in the same timeslot together. I've seen a timeslot where 3 of the templates were Small Earth templates. Maybe the templates could be grouped into categories of templates and Clan Wars wouldn't allow multiple templates in the same category the appear in the same timeslot simultaneously.

I don't think there should be some too fancy settings, like Bork, or BIomes. They are hard for newbies.
Old strat might be confused with new strat. Plus there are towns of maps in MME.

Guiroma, French Brawl, Biomes are maps i enjoy a lot.

Agree with increase a bit the boot time. In small earth if you take a bit more time in a turn, you can be booted an important turn for a few seconds and lose the game. It happened to me a few games.
