I think fizzer should enable people to make custom colors.

Just provide a set of patterns to choose from, and for a one time fee you can create your own combination of pattern + color that is now a custom color all your own.

Plenty of patterns. you can do alot with stripes alone by allowing the user to customize the # and width of the bars in their pattern.

im sure there would be some concerns about uglying up the maps, or lagging up the browser version? other than those, whats the downside?

The third downside/risk is that you could wind up with colors or patterns that look too similar. E.g., two players in one game who are both orange red but with diagonals in different directions.

thats actually a great point, and im surprised i did not think of it.. having played the blue stripe vs blue matchup it is a pain and i have been changing my opponents color to save my eyes

i suppose you could still have colors unique, and the pattern either drops to your alternative or next selection.. but that is a major overhaul to my idea, if not the entire color selection system lol
