Link Heartthrob has won the hugely popular and wildly successful muppets tournament:

http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?TournamentID=10810

As you can tell from the boot rate, almost all the players forgot to play the tourney entirely. Even I got booted from a few games. Still, a deal is a deal, and Link has been awarded a membership. Good luck in your ladder endeavors!

I like the idea of a high-level alt tourney for the purpose of blind competition, but the design was flawed. If nobody knows your identity there is also zero accountability. I'd like to set up another one soon, but I'm wondering how I can work out this inherent flaw.

Any suggestions?

The main problem was, that you had to login at least all 3 days especially for that tournament. If random alts would ve been allowed, the boot rate would decrease. No idea tough if many would tell you their secret alts.

you can say it's nowadays easier to quess your opponent might be especially if there is a swiss flag behind your opponents name

Thank you very much Slammy!

Given the high number of boots I feel like I got a bit of a bargain in terms of effort/membership.

If this ever becomes a thing it would be pretty nice for this sort of competition:

Ideally with anonymity to be maintained for the entire tournament not just each game.

I don't really aim to promote this, but it's fairly easy to end up with a different flag. I for instance have never set foot in the U.S.
