I read some of the advice in the old thread. Changed my perspective. Then I got lucky. Started in Africa with no one else in there. Started attacking 3 against 2 instead of waiting until I had 4 (read the stuff about the odds). Took 50 turns to win, but it really beat my butt for a couple of days.
Thanks again to all who offered advice, even the elegant cryptic kind.

Hey :)
I won in 43 turns, starting in North America. I didn't played much 3 vs 2, I let them fight together, avoiding cutting the lines between enemies, making my borders stronger over the time, and got it right. No need to expand very fast than needed if you aren't in a rush to finish with lesser turns. I just made sure the two teams stayed with the same power, more or less.
Well, now you are going for the Insane challenge... I already lost it something like 10 times and can't manage to find a working strategy. So if you find something, please let me know !
