It's been a while since the ladder was this strong.

Fatality, summer, gnuffone, timinator, ottoman emporer, Schmidt. All 6 have had a lot of ladder success in the past and all continue to play at a high level consistently.

Combine that with the players who haven't had as much ladder success in the past: timon, math wolf, kantos, master of chaos, master of desaster. All of these players have played at a very high level like the veterans.

Not to mention who deadman is (I would guess Chris37 but don't know for sure). Always the chance he's not an alt at all.

Overall, this makes for a very strong ladder currently.

Yes. You are 92nd because on the ladders there are some people who know how to play..

Very informative list. I especially like the part where you say I play "like the veterans" as if I'm less experienced than the other players. I'm way longer on the ladder than all the players you mention.

Math wolf, I look at when the players were good. You've never consistently been in the top 10 before but now you have. But yeah, it sounds kinda weird to leave you out of the veterans.

July 2012 - October 2012 (peak at 2)
February 2013 (peak at 4)
January 2014 - February 2014 (peak at 6)

Difference is, I didn't leave the ladder when I played bad, I just played on not caring for rank or rating. Again, I'm pretty sure I have more days in the top 10 than at least half of the "veterans" you mention.

@ Gnuffone: I would accept your answer, but I do have more ladder games than most of the so called "veterans" as well...

Still, I'm not claiming I'm as good as them. Fatality, summer & timinator are certainly better than me. I haven't played enough with the others to know for sure they are as well, but based on reputation, Gnuffone certainly is. I don't see based on current statistics how schmidt and Ottoman Emperor would be better, more consistent or more "veteran" than me, but may you do know something that I don't. (Alts?)

It still strikes me as strange to me to call it "veterans" or "consistent", maybe a word like "reputation" would have been better? (I'm sure native English speakers could find even better words to describe what you mean.)

Also when you talk about veterans, I don't even think about myself, I imagine Impaller, Doushibag, Duke, Blue Precision, Ruthless, Fizzer, Gaia, Troll and the like, people who have been around since before you were born.

Maybe an additional question that you as the list maker can answer (not sarcastic, I'm genuinly interested in this):
Are there any (other) players that have achieved a top 5 position (or even top 10) in each year (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014)?
I was thinking about Ace Windu (18 in 2011, 14 in 2013), fatality (started 2012) or Timi (started 2012) but so far I only found Teddy (who is probably also very "consistent" using your criteria (although I do agree that he is a veteran)): http://warlight.net/LadderTeam?LadderTeamID=166

Yeah, I was very surprised to notice he didn't get a top 5 yet in 2014 because he's by far the most consistent in the period 2011-2013. He still has 3 months to do it, may not be impossible. (He may be the number 1 if/when TS is implemented with full history.)

All of this ppl are inactive (ofc except Fizzer :P) so is useless speak of ppl aren't playing anymore imo.

Also I got to 3rd in 2011, then 1st in 2012 although that run crossed New Year's.

I put you in newer players becaues you joined warlight less than 2 years ago. For me, I consider veterans to be those that have been good warlight players for at least a year. You have made a lot of improvement in the past 6-9 months.

Did the amount of awesomeness on the ladder break it?

I'm not sure Silver, I think I better leave it for the good of Warlight.
