Start out as USA,Russia and/or China.

You can then just quickly use your income to bully weaker nations around and kill those who have less then you.
And ohhhh......ally with those other 2 because otherwise you might still get an interesting game in which you could lose (Wouldn't want that now would we ?)

Do start as one of them but dont create another account to start as another one, the chances are to slim of that happening and even if you get two of the big three you will most likely get booted because you wont have enough time to commit orders for two large nations. if you get one of those three then just do as aranka said
