I think posting how you THOUGHT you should pronounce somebody's name with an equation mark, after the player already posted the CORRECT version is stupid and counterproductive, because people will never learn how to do it good. Arun - this is mostly to you. After both Widzisz (vee-jeesh) and Gnuffone (New phon-a) explained the right sounds, you should not write the wrong.. It's funny to read people's misconceptions, but i think that with such thread we should encourage players to pronounce the names correctly :)

I agree, you should at least clarify that you're just talking bullshit before you give people misconceptions.

Very interesting thread, though not sure it is useful beyond that. %99 of us will never talk to anyone else here (outside of the internet), so spelling it much more important that pronunciation.

Still, interesting as I said. Nobody messes up my name, except Gnuffone who doesn't seem to ever use the "h" in Chris. I understand why, as I am sure it is similar to Spanish (my 2nd language), where it is Cristobal.
