I am trying ti update Idle in my Samsunng telephone with Android.
If looking in Play Store, only the previous update (April 2021) is available.
Do you know where should I look for the new update?

It sucks the update for Android still isnt out. Fizzer should try to match the app updates with the server updates more closely.

Apply for the app updates 2 weeks before the server gets updated or something, cause getting stuck on an old app is not cool, especially not if you are playing idle on a new level.

or if you can't collect digs or sync to play on from another device... i don't want to burn 72h+ of progress

Weird how you're not getting it. I have a Samsung Galaxy J7, and I was able to get it yesterday for the main app.

i got it for the main app yesterday too

We've got 4 devices in our house. Only 1 got the update. I think it's random.

I'm pretty sure Google would push updates to all regions it can send to simultaneously. I just checked Google Play, and Madkytle could also checked as they just said they got the update being in Germany, that only the main app has the update. The idle-only app doesn't have it yet.

I'm in the US and haven't gotten the update. I'm also on a Pixel so it's not a case of the Google phones getting it first.

Fizzer should make them come out at the same time, indeed.

still waiting. sitting on billions of armies and just one territory to go in Scandinavia. if I knew it would be days still, I would just finish and go onto a new level. but I know as soon as I finish up, the update will drop.

Old Warzone app updated, so I was able to finish my level on that and start a new level. However, when I go into the idle app now, it tells me that my level isn't available and I need to update my app (which I can't).

I think rather than it's country based, it is out for certain devices only. The percentage of people who can receive it increases over time, but could be based on what Fizzer did which I do not really know.

I would really appreciate if Fizzer would publish the mobile apps before the server gets updated to the next version. I guess he hasn't much control over what Apple and Google are doing and their staged roll-out is just some form of load-balancing for their own servers. So, if he had a version ready, he could upload the apps and at the same time post his version announcement post on the blog. Together with a date - let's say two weeks in the future - when these changes will take effect. By then the apps "could" be available to the majority and we could all enjoy the new features roughly at the same time. And it would be less of a guessing game.

If staged rollout is not used, in the case of the presence of a serious bug, all app users are screwed, since any bug fix might need the approval of Apple/Google, which may take a few weeks.

On the other hand, Fizzer has total control of the website, and he can update it any time he wants. So, it is no longer needed to use staged rollout for the website.

Staged rollout is mandatory, i think.
