Without wanting to discredit any other notable posts, I do understand Aranka's point of view. This wasn't the first congratulations thread made notable, and it hardly makes any difference in terms of notability who started the thread.

Those who see that the notable post system makes it actually HARDER to find notable posts! or at least makes less people see those, because when there was the "recent posts" system, everyone who opened dashboard has seen RECENT threads, and now you see only a bunch of threads, which are often far from notable while other threads which do deserve being notable, are somehow omitted.

Don't understand me wrong - I think you guys deserve congratulations for your ladder performance, but it being notable compared to some non-notable threads is a big injustice..

Furthermore - even IF the notable posts system would work like it should and moderators would make good decisions about what is notable and what isn't then the big fault is that after a week of inactivity on a thread, it becomes non-notable even if becomes very active again... (often series of challenges are quiet for some time, when all games take place just to get crowded again, after first, and/or final results.. but then it's to late and it's not notable anymore)..

this system has been for a few months already and it consequently proves itself being useless and badly implemented (or maybe just being managed by wrong people who are not doing their thing properly, or are biased a lot). Why was it not reverted to the old one yet, when it is clearly a flawful and inferior to the previous?

This is probably stupid question: who are the moderators? Didn't even knew the forum had some.
I thought that "notableness" of the thread is just a random thing. At least it seems like it to me.

Yeah, also forgot my congrats, so congrats! Didn't mean anything against to ciekiu and jupiter with my previous post. It's just the discussion around the thread that is somewhat ridiculous.
