St. Louis, MO, USA (1 year) 6/10 St. Louis is crime filled city, more than average. It doesn't really have anything to offer, unlike other cities. Being a city, however, means more opportunities and choices. It also has toward thinking people who want a better future. Weather is very hot or very cold, which is not preferable. Harvey's Lake, PA, USA (3 years) 4/10 Harvey's Lake is a town with summer houses. No industry. 15 minutes away is Dallas; a small uppity town that really isn't that wealthy. 30 minutes away is Wilkes-Barre; a run down, dying, backwards thinking city that I'm sure will be nothing in 50 years. They have absolutely nothing to offer, and have a high poverty population. 40 minutes away is Scranton; the same thing, but bigger, and worse. The house was decent, and we had 5 acres, so plenty of space. Our neighbors also allowed us to use their 40 acres for whatever we wanted within reason. Deep snow was normal, and it didn't get too hot often.

Brunssum, Netherlands (3 years) 8/10 Brunssum is small suburban town with larger Sittard and Maastricht nearby. Brunssum had a few things to do, such as a town center with business and pedestrian area, a barefoot park (exactly what it sounds like), and a large natural park with a variety of terrain. It was also well located; 10 minutes from Germany and 20 minutes from Belgium. The weather was not so good, with grey being the regular color. Southern Netherlands was also not a pleasant community. Gambrills/Colombia/Lothian, MD, USA (3 years) 7/10 Yes, we moved 3 times in 3 years. Baltimore and DC were always close, so we had all those sites to see, and since there are so many, we had plenty to do. Ocean city was also close, and that's always fun. Our houses had space, so we didn't feel cramped. The weather was fairly nice, except for Sandy. We moved 3 times not by choice, but because of other issues. That's a whole other story.

Holzgerlingen, Germany (4 years) 10/10 Holzgerlingen is a small town southwest of Stuttgart. This is probably the best daily life I've ever had. Easy access to various other countries for travel, but also the bakeries, Christmas markets, schooling, and friends I had here were the best. Our landlord was very nice, and we still talk to her. Germany is still my favorite country, and SW Germany is the best area. Weather was temperate, with some cold. Omaha, NE, USA (2 years) -/10 I remember nothing of Omaha.

Why?: It's not too hot and not too cold, not that busy and most food is conservative so you have no danger of choosing between spice-burn and starvation. For my taste it is a little bit too dependant on the automotive industry, but that is a characterics most of Europe shares. Unemployment is really low, so our region politically lacks many far left institutions (no Antifa, the only strikes come from the railway, weird people generally do not do their stuff in the open). There is a little bit on the envy part, as our northern neighbours in Eichstätt have full employment while the east in Freising is generally ahead in most policies i prefer. We are better off than the west (Neuburg is too rural) and the south (Dachau is too urban). I have no special feelings about Ingolstadt, only if you want a city without the many people, its about 100k inhabitants are perfect. If you however dislike Audi, better commit suicide before moving there, lol.
