Hello,

I'm playing on the same IP as my brother and today I realized playing in the same game might be illegal.

Could anyone point out the rules for this issue?

Don't worry about it. Plenty of people play with their own alts without punishment.

Additionally, if you are playing on the same team there is nothing wrong with controlling multiple accounts.

FFA games are also allowed to play together?

doing that on FFA would be an unfair advantage imho.

Yea, because clan-mates never play FFAs together or anything.

yes it's ok but don't play FFAs like if you are in the same team because that would not be nice...

when joining an FFA i can spot the clanmates by looking at the players list, i can't spot brothers playing in the same house though.

I don't know how much of an indicator that is.

I would probably be overtly aggressive towards my brother as I can be with wiley clan mates.

Someone correct me if I am wrong here but there is no rule against people playing off the same IP, however there is a rule against people creating alts and playing in the same game with them.

skunk - technically yes, you're allowed to play in FFA game with another person from the same location. But it's not hard to imagine, that such a players can easily team up together, and therefore gain unfair advantage as mentioned above.
So unless they actually can play without communicating with each other, I would say it is not completely fair.

like many other things which are unfair and done, lots of people use lots of alts, i preer to lose against brothers teaming up (i already lost against friends who were teaming up from diferente ips) than against a disgusting alt user

I see opinions about this are mixed up and there are no clear rules about this.
Like his alt said it's also possible to team up as friends from different locations.

On the other side, its absolutely clear these things are reducing the fun of other players.


Anyways, my goal is reached, now I know it's legal to play together and we shall keep it fair (of course).

Yeah, but then if game have PM allowed, it is expected that players will team up (or communicate is some way). Problem is, when PM is not allowed, and 2 players "somehow" are able to perfectly communicate with each other...
