Red: yeah, i need to implement better ranking, but the bayesian elo isn't trivial to implement, found no port of it for php or javascript and i been busy with a paying project :/ so it's what it is for now, and hopefully i'll get some free time to improve it sometime soon.

Please make real time ladders for other settings! Strategic 1v1 is the obvious choice, but more would be nice too.

ps i have found a bug, on the clot there is a pending games link, if i click on it then it then it takes me to a game that has not yet started because players havent joined, because i have found the game, the members only feature does not matter. So what will happen if i try and join the game?

seahawks: i haven't tested it, but Fizzer told me warlight checks if a non-member is trying to join a GameAPI game with open seats and will not allow you to join. feel free to try.

why is motocross rated ahead of nich, 0-8 vs 0-1 and somehow 0-8 is better?

Pushover: like Summer said, it doesn't automatically pair players, it just lets you play with whoever else is currently also online wanting to play.

Ahh, sort of how the old Yahoo Games ladders worked? Those were easily gamed though, it was impossible to move up the ladder because all the good players refused to play anyone that could make their rating go down. It was less about skill and more about who you played, and it was impossible to crack into the highly rated player clique.

How do you plan to combat this? Penalize players who refuse matchups? Some other method?

seahawks: i guess the guy with 8 losses were against players with high rating.

Pushover: maybe i'll implement user authentication and only allow people to play others in similar rank, or give them a rating boost if they chose to play this way instead of open seats. i'm against making it completely forced pairing, the ladder would lose it's visibility on the open games, which i think is important to bring in users awareness.

rankings: what ps has done is all that can be done. think of it as a ladder for friendly matches that are kept track of.

finished matches: any way to have these arranged like how fiseur does it (most recent at the top, oldest at the bottom)?
