Sorry Mulva, I'm so used to people always jumping to "why did you leave america? when are you coming back?" That usual nonsense.
@Clement well it isn't an EU issue per se. Moreso getting a working visa in Europe is very difficult right now...whether it be EU or non-EU countries.

You should go visit your own house.
Why should you do that?
+ It's cheap
+ You don't have to pay tourist taxes
+ No transport needed
+ There's coke in the fridge
+ No Tourists with bonbons
+ No Terrorists with bombombs.
+ It's a lazy vacation.
+ Your vacation will not be interrupted by an obese American yankee.
Why shouldn't you do that?
- It's not a real vacation
- It bears me no interests
- No vacation pictures
- Slaves are forbidden in the household
- No Mac Donalds

It's not and it is, the American passport will get you to everywhere without a visa for vacation or travel, it's the residency / work part that's trickier.
Still not as hard as getting a green card though ...

I'm looming to go someplace for more than just holiday. The work part gets very tricky.
While most EU countries will allow us to work for the 3 months we can legally enter and stay the EU staying after is incredibly challenging unless you are sponsored. Sponsor jobs are tough to get
