Kind of. It's really not much, kind of like a bonus to what he gets from ads. And that the real money, what pays for the sites. If you really wanna support the site and keep it running, I recommend buying a big M and keeping ads on.
Given the amount of time dedicated to developing a game of this magnitude, $1600 is an absolute pittance. Hell, it would still be a drastic underpayment if that were increased tenfold
memberships + clans werent probably enough to pay all the server expenses fizzer had so far, if it wasnt for the ads he would probably be bankrupt by now (though i doubt he has a significant lack of money as he probably lost money for some years with this site)
Of course not lacking money, he gets capital publications. And besides, what do you care how much he earns, if he really invest all that site so why not come to him? ..
Clans have been an official "buyable" item on warlight for just about a year and a half (547 days). If you take your total amount and divide it up over that time period, it works out to $2.76 / day
So if buy founding the LEA clan, I helped get Fizzer an extra Egg McMuffin every day, then I consider my money well spent.
If Fizzer wanted to make some more money, he should have made the map pack thing include exclusive maps that couldn't be gotten elsewhere. I'm sure lot's of map makers would put in one for it and maybe Fizz would reward them with a bunch of points. I'm not sure how much he makes off it, but I doubt it's very much if not nothing. Adding exclusive maps would surely increase buyer amount of the map pack thing.
That's what I think he should have done with the whole map packs thing...
Guys, leave Fizzer alone. His financials are none of our concern. You should just be thankful that he created this game for us.
For those ignorant fools who think that the money Fizzer makes is a lot, think about it. The monthly cost for the server is just one of his expenses for THIS site not to mention his real-life expenses. I'm pretty sure Fizzer barely makes enough to cover his expenses if he does so at all. $1590 over a period of 3+ years isn't a lot if you really think about it. Like Dr. Stu pointed out that's not a lot of income. But then, like I said earlier that's none of our business. Leave Fizzer's financials to him. I myself am going to start spending more on this site to assist him (or at least try to). I think he definitely deserves over ten-fold of what he's made so far for everything he has done for us.
